  1. A few reasons this will be helpful. 1) Active ignores impedance so you can just set it and be golden in the range 2) You can play over and over with baffle compensation and with your baffles in particular that will be helpful 3) You can experiment without spending money, generally speaking an active crossover will be cheaper than its analog counterpart anyways. If you have 10 iterations of analog then you are out a ton of cash for what could have been done easily active ...I could go on
  2. Any way of testing what sounds good to you? ie, anything you can use for an active crossover first?
  3. Curious why you picked 2500Hz ...and where these are going.
  4. Neither are 8 ohms....

    Nice!
  6. Easy
  7. Crossover makes a ridiculous difference. As much as the driver if not more. Optimizing what goes to your drivers is paramount.
  8. finally a valid reason
  9. The wall itself has nothing to do with that and generally for the space used walls have less bass than a well built enclosure.
  10. As a dampener spectrum is pretty useless. It has other purposes but sucks donkey as a cld replacement.
  11. Why would you ever be a fan of one?
  12. Net = airspace in the box after adjusting for the port and the sub (and anything else you put in it) Gross = airspace IN THE BOX without adjusting for the port or sub If you are referring to External Overall Dimension Volume that is something else. Knowing your exact space before shopping for subs is paramount.
  13. Spectrum is a waste of money. CLD you don't need all that much. MLV you have to cover the whole surface. If you have one quarter the CLD you have MLV you'll be fine assuming you are using both on all surfaces.

Holy hell you guys are fast.
  15. Of course even then it is pointless
  16. Even better only if you buy the vehicle at a junkyard.
  17. Understatement.
  18. Had a busy week it seems Aaron. Excited to see the new product roll in!
  19. Not in a really long time.
  20. Not
  21. The only woofer on your list I'd own is the Gcon. The IDQ is horribly overpriced and hyped. The others are just nothing special either. I realize this is an SSA forum, but comparing that list bang for your buck the Gcon is way ahead.
  22. I would wire the batteries in parallel and series and use the 12v for the stereo. Way simpler. Btw, I drove a 68 Galaxy XL over 300,000 miles
  23. Busy as shit, but having fun. Had one of my boys turn 6 this week and the other 8 in 2. WTF?!@#!@?
  24. That will be louder and have more SPL. Shrinking won't help...
  25. I've got an original JBL 1500GTi if you want an upgrade. Hasn't been used since 94.
