Which Sub Is Best
I would always recommend round subs over square. Please clarify exactly why. It's a personal opinion. And I asked because its based on internet nonsense and not a practical application. Unless you are choosing based on cosmetics and that's your preference, but if so that doesn't help the OP. Your recommendation is dubious.

Im ok. Thanks for asking. =) I'll have to poast moar to make up for last week. been only getting 3-4 hours of sleep. 2 hours last night. Been with family last week and g-pa this weekend. It all caught up with me today. I left for work carpooling with the wife and I forgot shoes. I had on birkenstocks with my buisness clothes. Quality. I'm finally feeling the loss I think. I also came back to work with 4 people out sick and when i left work the throat was sore and head hurt. Sleep tonight I hope Birks and a tie FTMFW. My colleagues call me Jesus sometimes. *even more amusing after my last post

Welcome to the IHoP
I don't know about that, churches are folding like crazy around here. In my age group I know of really no one that goes and I am sure it will get even more so in yours.

Fixed. Any extremist for anything sucks.

All forms sure, but the fact is that the moral values that are different are what scare me. Not accepting fellow man as an equal is NEVER ok.

I'd wear a 5 point, but cars would have to be built better so I'd still have visibility.

Which Sub Is Best
Do NOT post again until you read all three of the noob threads in my signature. Since you don't follow ANY of the advice you will not get an answer until you do.

Turntables
How does this post help us get you an answer? I am still wondering how you are going to be playing movies on your vinyl...

solo x OR ???
And again dubious information here. Throwing that much power at anything and driving around with it is asinine. You are well beyond the laws of diminishing returns. If you want power to compete fine, but you ALWAYS should have a different gain setting for comps anyways. Going to the nth degree for 0.x dB gain is fine for comps but completely stupid for any other purpose. Oh, and a box out of marble, ROFL.

which speakers can keep up with 2200 watts?
Nothing in highs sound good that loud. They won't need to be to "keep up" either. I do really hate the verbage keep up. Could just refer to the desire to be deaf by next year.

Close too, still going to go to bed though. I don't really care who wins.

First real system, what components?
I'd only do a 2 way with an 8" if I had a driver to mate with it that could play down to 500Hz or so, or if the OP was willing to make the compromise of losing a little in the transition. An 8"er as a midrange isn't a good choice, but getting midbass out of a 7" at chest pounding levels isn't going to happen either.

solo x OR ???
Better SQ and an SPL sub LOL

Why would you need to pad both your sub and front stage? That doesn't make sense.

Can an 18" BTL handle 3kw daily?
Actually 3dB is noted as the average that a human can perceive differently. In back to back scenario's it can get closer to a dB though question: is it easier to hear a difference in say 87db to 90 db or 140db to 143db @ lets say 70hz, i would guess its easier to hear the change at a lower level, am i right? sorry if i didnt word that very well. i understand our ear are more sensitive to high frequencies but i never heard if there is a difference like i described above.. sorry for the thread jack.. u got it backwards. You can hear an increase of 3db better at a higher level than you can at a lower level... but once you get so high, everything is perceived so loud that it's hard to tell a difference again. 148-151 definitely tell the difference.. 120-123 likely but not as noticeable as the above. 170-173 too loud to possibly perceive Nope. At higher levels you are less sensitive. Not a straight off curve, but definitely the case. Obviously at really high levels it becomes worse. On top of that your ear is less sensitive to these differences at really high and really low frequencies.
