Welcome to the IHoP
I was wondering what the colors were all about. Makes sense. Red = admin Green = super mod yellow = Tech team / super mod blue = section of company mod Orange = long time member with 1000+ posts What happens when you divide a tech team member by a super mod?? you get an asshole

Matt2 is worthy no matter his post total.

Pro Alpha >>> Beta but it will let you screw up a bunch more. Not sure if it will be understandable although I find it uber easy to use.

Not specifically the Nashua, what are you looking to control? Found my way into a free linear hydraulic actuator and another misc valve setup. Do you know the company or phone number that they are/became so I can call and get some info on it. I would kinda like to know the wiring diagram on the servo so I don't f' something up. Also came up with a LVDT too, looks like a 3" one, along with a Vickers hydraulic motor. Time to automate something.... No phone, but that shouldn't be an issue. I know a few engineers at Vickers (Eaton Hydraulic Division) and a lot about LVDT and manufacturers. A 3"er won't really be that accurate, but could be easy to deal with depending on whether it is AC-AC, DC-DC or its specific setup.

I usually post on more than 5 sites at a time too. This is what I call relaxation. Every time I try to tell myself that I need to reduce the number of sites, I seem to find another. Trying not to join AVS. Perhaps refocusing which ones are important might be better than not joining AVS.

might of found me a sub....
oh boy, i am really going to ask for it on this one, but what the heckk does that sentance mean, perhaps i should of included i am a old street thug, not very hip to that, sorry I assume the first sentence is self explanatory. The second. You can ask LB who is the only one that I've seen post around the web on sites I visit that use that sub, but instead of real answers you'll get inflated info and pics of overalls. His information will be dubious at best and IMO should be ignored. Perhaps that clears it up a bit?

Active setup
For the same money yes, but you already "wasted" some of that on passives. On top of that I guarantee your first attempt will sound significantly worse than those passives, but again with time and effort you could even improve what you have.

Different options for the IXL
Actually Mark I think it is mostly a disease referred to as Napolean's Syndrome. One thing to have a goal, a completely other to want to just go big and not know why.

Searching for subwoofers
I guess what I am going for is more of a subjective sq/spl system, tweaked more to the low end, not necessarily a flat response. Sorry, everyone describes it differently. I was too vague and I do not know exactly how to voice it without adding SPL to the description. Also I have a Pioneer DEH-p800prs and might purchase my friend's Audiocontrol dqs if that would be a good decision. I am installing a few of the second skin products in the next couple of weeks too, starting with the damplifier this weekend. As for the front stage, will the three way eclipses not cut it even with the processing I will have? I was hoping to eventually save up for some Focal K2s or Morel Supremos (They both sounded great too me, leaning more towards the supremos). I also have the eclipses for the rear or would you suggest something different, like a simple rear fill, as opposed to the three ways? The 800 will not do a 3 way front stage actively. Your other choices are also passive components which make no sense to buy and then run active. Way better bang for the buck available. Rears are pointless in a vehicle IMO as well. Lastly, I wouldn't bother with the 2nd skin instead shop at SDS. There is a link in my sig. Instead of giving you bad advice based on marketing propaganda, Don will actually help you only buy what you need. If you want further help, don't hesitate to make a thread as there are many of us who would be glad to pipe in on the deadening side of things.

What subs would be best?
I don't know if you compete seriously or not but that advice should only be saved for the noobish daily driver and not for a competitor if that's hell-razor's goal. Are you really serious? That is one of the least educated statements I have read here. The BTL with the same power will ALWAYS be Fi's loudest sub. ALWAYS.

I could use another drink. If I were single that would include the ho working at the front desk somehow as well.
