  1. Ok, really no one has been direct enough obviously. 1 12 in an optimal box in that space will be LOUDER than the 2 18's ported in that space will. Not only that it would sound WAY better as well. Even sealed you DO NOT have enough space. Cancel/change the order as it is a frigging completely stupid waste of money. If he "must" run 18's and it "has" to be a pair, you will need to build a box for one and connect it and have the other one in a very smalled sealed enclosure NOT CONNECTED AT ALL which will get him his "show" but the second obviously won't help the loud. If you truly follow the "not recommended but try it" I will be the first to say that this might be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen done on this site. --I realize this is your friend, but perhaps you should have him read this thread. Completely asinine.
  2. Since it sounds like you haven't bought anything yet, I'd like to point out I think the reality of what you are building and your goals probably won't line up. Your driver choice and that crossover aren't exactly matches. The RS drivers are not crossover friendly and that crossover isn't really much of a crossover. You would be better off simplifying things and building a two way the first time out. If you truly want to do a three way, I'd encourage you to run the bass bin portion active and just build a crossover for the mid/tweet. I'd also use an easier mid to integrate as well.
  3. No he needs to wire them each to 1 ohm and that would be a final 2 ohm load. Either way, net result is the same. 2ohm load which is what the amp requires.
  4. And the real question is, Lucky are you interested in several tenths realizing that to your ears it won't add anything just to the meter.

Integrated shelving with doors may have been a better description. I want a spot for everything and a door on it so the dust stays off.

That will isolate the family room from the whole house audio and give me faster control where I currently spend the most time. Plus room correction and HDMI up/down convert so that all the TV's in the house can switch together. 1 cable box FTW.

Depends on the airlines, the NWA concourse in LAX is puny. Narita isn't that exciting either, nothing like the Tokyo subway/train station...now THAT is an experience.

There is a reason that only Lawyers rank higher than sales people in the most "hated" lists. I however find it amusing as the sales people that fit the descriptions of the ones that give salesmen a bad name usually suck at sales. The whole show up and throw up sales pitch died in 1970.

That's what my bitch wants me to do, but no way. Would LOVE to spend EVERY moment with my son, but not having my own source of income is just succumbing to her. If mine made $200k I wouldn't work, eff that.
  25. I meant as in you only listen to pop. Far from "everything" was the comment. Nevermind.
