  1. "handle that amp" won't really be a problem. Not quite sure why you think that is a logical pairing though.

not a damned clue Just read up; you'll be an expert in no time. I assume you're talking about the usefulness of tampons, which I do understand pretty well <--- has two older sisters No, I think he is referring to the AQ Tampon. Works better than all other brands, it is cheaper, and is really underrated in its absorbancy. No likeness to the ultra cheap generic that it looks just like.

    Understood completely.

Didn't AQ start to sell some?

More like a shart. Familiar move to a GM I guess.

that is one of the sexiest things i have ever read. bbq whilst fishin.. sexi time! I can see this now.............Sean telling the W he is gonna BBQ, she see's him leave with the boat, calls mad as shit, only to find out when he comes home the food is done. This is honestly the most priceless idea so far. J And with remote control if I want to slow it down so I don't have to come back in, I CAN!

I am a Viking fan and not sure how to take this......... Facts: Over the hill? Some. Better than Travaris? You bet. Better than Sage? You bet. Will he make our mediocre receivers better? Definitely Does he need to do everything on his own with the Vikes? With a top 5 O-line, the best RB in the league, and a hell of a defense no. Will he choke in the big show? Fucking probably.
  8. Any of those horns will be a way better choice, no need to start by dropping your wallet either. At the levels you want to listen to things even the cheap ones will be fine...and with their sensitivity you won't have concerns "keeping up" with the Alpha's. You might find yourself wanting some extra eq to tame their response, but that is personal.
  9. None of those are suited for your application. You really need the actual "horn" and the more efficient the better in particular with your goals. Just as an FYI. The ID's are 100dB efficient, the Seas 92dB. This means with the same power going to each tweeter you would need around 7 Seas tweeters to be as loud as one of the ID's. On top of that the cancellation with that many drivers could really screw up how things sound. There are potentially other solutions, but not ones that I have heard in a car. If you have more space there are a ton of true pro-audio solutions but they all require even more space. Conveniently the ID's fit nicely under most dashes.

It's official the king of the cheeseturds is now the starting QB for the Vikings. He already suited up in his Purple Pride colors wearing number 4. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=txvikingsfavre&prov=st&type=lgns If he chokes in the post season I am going to freak.
  11. Another of my myth's dispelled.. I will be using the CLD tiles + MLV barrier in my Volvo instead of the cheap 2-layer fatmat sitting in my garage.. thank you! Yes it is a bummer that most people read deadener as "sound deadener", the conventional deadener is actually a vibration dampener not a sound barrier. Both obviously have their places, but the major difference I see between the manufacturers is that Don (SDS) actually recommends what works and also has chosen his products appropriately for the task and less so for profit margin. IMO doing business that way will net you a long term success versus the short term forum boner success that other companies will end up with. I hope (and expect) that it will stay that way. I do have a sample of Don's products and will also add that they are definitely nicer than what else is out there on the market.

    that it would be
  13. Sealed they should be run at least at 28cuft each. Ported isn't recommended. IB description above should help. Only somewhat. With everything else being equal that would hold true, but Xmax is far from the only parameter that correlates to output. On top of that even in a ported box "only sound made is coming from the cone" as well, it just happens to use both sides of the cone and a helmholtz like resonator to amplify the output. Either way it still all comes from the cone.
  14. You haven't picked your two yet. There is no way around this compromise.
  15. You still need tweeters, but instead of the Seas perhaps you should look at a set of the Image Dynamics Horns. http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products.php?Family_Id=5&Product_Id=23 They'll more than keep up with the Alpha's and you only need a single pair. Before adding midbass you should determine what frequencies you feel you lack and then we can address those.
  16. If you don't need a screen then get a Pio 800prs as they still sell those.

And yes, it is because I want to control/view the Que from the boat.
  18. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I love the idea.... you could just splice/resolder wire to acess remotely for controll in the house. You could set up a camera to view the cooker, but it would have to be a bad muther of a camera to deal with MN winter, more so if it will freeze/thaw so much when it's close to the Egg. You could check out durrable surveylance cameras and work that out. I'm gonna chew on that, I love the idea. It's not worth doing at my house.... maybe.... but the idea is choice! Thermocouples you can't just "extend", but perhaps for some $ they would send me ones with the right response or let me know how to mod-them. Hell, I'd keep the controller in the basement and only use the PC.

As stated earlier, looks like its pretty much done to me. http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/53567387.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aU1yDEmP:QMDCinchO7DU

Or buy a BBQGuru door and use it with some adapter.
  21. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I'd have to mod it though as they don't make a door for the Viking.

  24. Or that they will even tell you truth. I am still curious why you believe these guys. From your other posts it seems to me like you are misled really often, perhaps we can use this example to find out why.
