How old is the bed, where did you buy it from, how much did it cost, and without sounding like a total and utter deuche, why do you care? realistically it's not a bad thing and will happen in 99.9% of all beds. I sold beds/furniture for 3 years and managed the stores too. I have WAY too much info about it. Cali King Bed...............paid all together about 800 bucks with box spring aIt'nd frame.......had it for not even a month and I care beacuse a 10" wide depression in my bed is no fuckin joke, it sux ass to sleep on. Oh that kind of depression. I thought you were saying you wanted to take it back because of the economic depression. I was thinking this dude is fuckin nutz! It's Jordan, he is nutz Somewhat nutz...........Granted to join the military in a 'time of war' as they keep preaching, you gotta be a lil nutz or hella patriotic. And I wouldn't return something because of the economy. I would sell it to someone else, or somethin like that.............But this is a TOTALLY different matter J, I was ribbin' ya. Sort of like playing tee ball, when it is really setup you have to swing at it.
  4. deleted. not worth keeping that shit alive
  5. good choice on the amp for those 2ohm components. (if you change to a 4 ohm component set id recommend a 50.4) how did you arrive at picking that set specifically? i would suggest you look into other components, maybe some searches and reviews that might steer you to a better set for the money (just to be safe). how much did you find those speaker for? They were like 149. I was just looking around and read some decent reviews. I was also looking at the kicker qs or rs series. I don't know any non "name" brands, speaker wise anyway. That is why I made the topic, I figured maybe someone might post a few good brands. As you can see noone did. So I searched around a bit. No one did because you didn't do step 1 yourself. Speakers are subjective. If you truly want help that will lead you the right direction go listen to some things and describe what you like. If not, ask advice on forums and get some forum boner solution that the person recommending hasn't even heard. Generically speaking people don't do that here although there is a new faction so beware of those with not so long a tenure or so many posts.
  6. I never pick on you, just on what you type. Stop giving advice on what you know nothing about and it won't get called out. You were really distracting the purpose of the thread with false info. My answer was extra exuberant since all the misinformation is really frustrating to me and it happened on a night where there was a ton of it. It wasn't meant to be personal other than hopefully strong enough so you learn to not "help" when you shouldn't. Polyfill will make the driver "think"it is in a larger enclosure.
  7. Super easy to make that happen. Follow the noob posting guidelines that you agreed to when you signed. Super easy.
  8. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I would, I'd also listen to each independently and together.
  9. It isn't about brands, it is about preferences. Every single brand has a different market presence and a different reality in EACh one of their series of drivers. You may like one and hate the next. With no background you will get NO help as it will subjective garbage that doesn't help you make a good decision. Considering you like your MTX speakers actually knowing which model they were would really, really help. A link would even be better.
  10. YES. That is step 1, then share what you think.
  11. Honestly I don't know. I mean I have pioneer coaxials in every avalable place in my car. I don't like the way they sound. Alpines seem to whiney sounding. Other than that I haven't heard much. That's a start. Easy to beat that. Go listen to some stuff. Your ears will really help us narrow this down. If you don't you'll end up with a set of speakers that someone on here likes and not what you like. *note* you don't have to just listen to car audio stuff
  12. If by better you mean having an OP get all sorts of uneducated unvalidated responses then sweet you are right. Instead perhaps reading the forum guidelines and making a thread worthwhile for others to read might help. Like a crap ton. Your post amuses me. Here is what actually happens. People ask this vs that questions. The ones who could help read it and go Ugh another stupid thread so they never open it again. Then a bunch of noob post whores answer and the perception is that the OP gets an answer. If you truly think that is better, you amuse me. I didn't ask him to do anything that the forum guidelines that you both agreed to when you joined didn't spell out specifically. Follow them and you will get good answers, if you don't some idiot will respond with some garbage convincing you to do something stupid and those of us who would call him out won't read your thread since it started off so poorly in the first place. Sounds great. On top of that it ruins the forum as it makes it so no one can actually search for information. If you can't formulate a thought and follow the rules DON'T make a thread. It is really simple.

I don't cast to wait, but to let the bait drop to the bottom. If no fish is biting there it is time to pick it up and cast it to a different spot. Rarely will I let something sit for 15 seconds.
  14. So let's start at hearing about what you've heard that you actually like....
  15. Well with my research, I found that active sounds better, and gets louder, Also has a lot more play wth tuning which frequencies for each speaker. Now if my h/u is capable of going active I would like to do a 3 way set up. 6 1/2 midbass in the doors , 3" fullrange in the stock 4X6 mount, and tweeters in the a-pillars. I need opinions on what speakers/tweets to get. I mostly listenin to rap, rock, an heavy metal. I would like to go 3way active if possible if not then 2 pairs of tweets, 1 in 4X6 1 in the a pillars. Thanks in advance. Ouch, that isn't a 3 way. Please read some more or ask questions. - never run two pairs of tweets, it will sound like ass -4x6's are generally useless -a 3 way should consist of drivers that specialize in a certain passband. In general you want to find a mid that can play as much of the frequency range as possible -generically speaking your first attempt at active will sound WAY worse than the same set passive. It is far from trivial to implement. -there are very few 6.5" midbasses, normally that is a midrange and I'll add a really crappy size for a midrange You are confused. Stop posting options and instead ask for advice based on what space, budget, and listening preferences you have. If you continue down the path you are on it will fail. what im geting from this post is that he is doing exactly what your telling him to do. im pretty sure this is why he posted it in the first place if im not mistakin. hes asking questions and learning about stuff. m5 just comes off alittle rough, if you read the how to post section it give you a pretty good idea of how your suppose to inform "us" as to what you are trying to achieve with your build. yea i know. he just posted in 5 straight posts and every one of them he was like that. people come on this forum to get questions answered and to get help they need. not to get talked to like that. Then they should read the noob posting guidelines or go somewhere else. This is supposed to be a serious forum but tools keep asking stupid fucking questions in stupid ways which is not a good thing for anyone reading, searching, or trying to learn. You'd be damn surprised at the level of knowledge on here and it is REALLY easy to tap all it requires is a little thoughtfulness on posts.
  16. Opinions based on no information are worthless. Go to a car dealership and say I want to buy a car, when they ask you what sort of things you'd like in a car give them no information and see what sort of a recommendation you get. Now go repeat at 45 other dealerships I bet you end up with 5 different opinions and none of them will be what you want.

Bout time the top had some action. Top water fishing is teh best
  18. Here is my problem with your request. Sound good -- rather subjective no?? Keep up -- let's pick an arbitrary but low 135dB for your sub. Having a comp set play 135dB will make you deaf FAST. Be clear -- at those levels acoustic masking will make this impossible Understand -- gladly, but we need to know what you are trying to do today. Really be specific. What have you heard that you like, what sort of music do you listen to, what are your expectations, what sort of install skills do you have, how much time are you willing to dink with things, how extreme can the recommendations be to fill your needs, why did you buy a sub first, what sort of amps, h/u etc do you have.... Without some background you will get subjective answers that don't help you with your understanding which to me is the most critical step. If you understand then the other three questions/statements are moot.

I did pick up the first round of my custom rods last week. They rock. Amazing how a few new sticks drastically improved my casting ability. The pitching stick, which amusingly was the cheapest rod I bought, made a HUGE difference. Instead of being accurate to 18" at 40' I can now put the bait in within 6" easy. Quieter entry into the water as well, and it was windy. Can't wait to hit the water when it is calm. **of course I am staying at a fricking hotel on the lake I grew up on 250mi from my boat and rods GRRRR!!!

Mine creates a wake behind me. Ever seen KVD fish? That is my style as well. If I ain't casting I am not happy.
  21. Then describe your goals. Without goals it is impossible to steer you.
  22. Ported, if you have to ask you don't understand the difference and therefore are 99.9999% likely to not be a sealed sort of listener. *plus you listen to rap, ported 1000%
  23. SQ really comes down to features and nearly all you above offering advice obviously have NO IDEA what SQ is. If you are truly interested in SQ then not only do you need EQ, but independent L/R eq. Guess what Kenwood deck offers that?? Oh that's right NONE. Get an 800prs if your concern is truly SQ and spend all the rest of your time thinking about how to improve your install instead of comparing equipment.
  24. Conflicting ideas? What sort of place are you reading that a cap is useful? ROFL!!
  25. I should just delete this garbage list of misinformation wtf is your point of confusing yourself in public???/
