Before doing anything drastic and replacing drivers, I'd play around with what you have active. Reason being, if you are prepared to "go pretty far" that will mean a 3 way and WAY more can go wrong in a 3 way so you should try a 2 way setup first. Do a little searching on Active Crossovers, read the manual of the 880, and then ask some questions and we can steer you in the right direction.

Those aren't worth buying. just wondering why not? it sounds like the guy want's to run a active set up. i know the q logic's are a little on the cheap side but spending 10 -15 hour making it paint quality fiber glass to put in the same spot. just seems worth less to kick with feet in a daily driver. unless he carpets the boxes or some thing like it. So pay $200 and spend hours making them rigid enough. Then still need airspace and have to vent into the fender all for kicks that aren't aimed all that well? The doors look super easy in his ride and IB > cramped when it comes to drivers that need to play midbass.

8's up front make a huge difference though. It now depends on how far you want to go.

Ouch, bad info. If your constrained layer requires foil tape to keep it from sliding it isn't doing its job. The tests I saw on it a while back weren't so positive either. I'd avoid it unless they've seriously changed their game.

Woah, be careful. Without re-wiring you can't use Network mode. Read the manual and then ask some questions. Basically you are going to need an amplifier channel for each driver. Meaning you need one for each mid and one for each tweeter. So just in the front alone you are going to need 4 channels. Once this is setup you will have access to 16 bands of Left and 16 bands of Right Eq. I wouldn't recommend doing anything until you let us hear your plan, you could severely damage your stuff otherwise.
