  1. You can get rid of the passives you are running and switch the 800 to Network mode and take advantage of its proc.

Ah, I've always called where I want to work. Never used those internet sites.
  3. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
How does this keep happening to you?
  4. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
but yes, I do mute and do things on the net

? i should have put some punctuation in there. I meant mute the conference call and ignore it. That's the way they always go in my experience anyway Ah, I get to be an integral role even when not leading. Sort of comes with my role.
  6. I think he needs a new box for his subs too. Considering he is taking up his back seat he really should have those L7's ported. They will come alive that way. Also going to need way more up front and 4's will NOT cut it no matter what. Tons of space in the doors for them though so you are in luck.
  7. midbass >> bass IMO, I'd forego subs before real midbass although there are some cars I won't cut up <--for instance

    ?
  9. Any space for larger drivers? 4" ers aren't going to cut it.
  10. First time to fix his current settings which we need to know what they are
  11. They are completely unrelated what they do. Crossovers stop frequencies that you don't want to play through the subs from making it to them. Nearly all amplifiers for subs already have these. Equalizers allow you to adjust the level of different frequencies to fix anomalies in your frequency response. I wouldn't buy either unless you can describe what his goals are that he cannot currently reach.
  12. I was comparing 4x8' sheets of MDF with 1" Plexi. By the time you add glue and other stuff it will be closer to $1k than $100
  13. Sound can be the same when built right, but instead of $20 worth of wood you might have $1000 worth of glass
  14. Why is easy. Do you want midbass? If you say yes, you need to do your best to seal all the backwave from the frontwave of the driver. The better the seal the better, sure it may not be perfect but it is a hell of a lot better than those gaping holes.
  15. Not needed, the 800 has one hell of a processor built right in. In fact IMO it is the only real reason to buy that headunit. Generically speaking about proc's though the question is always what do you want to do that you cannot currently do. Adding anything else for the reason of adding is always the bad idea, unless you have a very specific goal.
  16. Awesome gear, gonna be sweet!!
  17. Get ready to be sticker shocked as it is really expensive to do.
  18. True, but that is not considering any cabin gain

Yay, conference calls again...only this time I am not leading it
  20. In a well treated door the 720's can play pretty damn low.
  21. You'd actually need 6 channels if you want midbass. 2 for the midbass, 2 for the mids, and 2 for the tweets. Using a comp set with a set of midbasses is a bad idea. As for the sealed it can be an okay idea; however, I will guarantee that you do not have enough space in your kicks. They need little mini-sub boxes of various size depending on the driver. Much easier to mount them IB, ie vented into your fenders.

    Ah, can do

Your choice, all i7 motherboards right now use the same chipset. The only difference between them are the feature set and brand name. Personally, I'm partial to the Asus, MSI, and ABIT brands, and I tend to avoid Gigabyte...I'm 0 for 2 with them... Ah, partial to Asus & DFI myself. Used to be an ABIT fan but when Oscar left for DFI I switched.

That's awesome for your mom. I'm not so brilliant really, I just test well and have the ability to suss out what questions really are asking, not what the appear to be asking. HS is way different from college though, so It will probably happen this year or next. My wife is out searching for jobs that will pay her for the degree she has which should put her in the 45K+ per year realm. If that happens I might drop my hours and go to school full time or perhaps more than full time. I don't want to be greedy, but this 30-40K a year isn't working for me. I do great and the wife could quit working if I make 65-75, and we would be set for retirement too. I'm just so tired on hating my work Don't sell yourself short. Really. The rest of the world is dumber than the credit you are giving them and you have more than one step up. Way more. Yeah, the stupidity in the world really is surprising. And stupid people breed faster, which is bad for everybody really. OSHA should re-instate natural selection, it would help the whole world.
