New Setup, From Kicker to FI
Don't expect the Fi to last any longer. It was YOU who killed the sub, not the fact that it was a Kicker. All you, 1000%.

Welcome to the IHoP
Sonic is fine, that piece isn't necessary though. I know the site is okay, why do you say it isn't necessary? I really don't understand why you would want it. It does no benefit IMO. I want to have voltage and temperature of my SAZ-3000D in view. What part of the amp are you going to monitor the temperature on? ... and why? Voltage is easy and you don't need that piece of junk to do it. So you don't like the company? Why? You didn't even come close to answering my question either.

My cars are dead right now, if you found a bunch of vinyl I'd be interested though

Re-read, where did I say anything about the company...although that is obvious as they make a bunch of shit.

Say what you want without using SQ or SPL in your thread and you'll get answers, otherwise don't expect what you get to be helpful at all just misled reactions guessing at what you want.- What is the best system for my car
Just mount the speaker on the outside of your car, really fuckin' simple. I am sure it won't get stolen that way either. If you don't want to do that stfu as that doesn't fly. If you make another thread like this, your access to this forum will be removed.- amp power and ground question
8ga most likely isn't enough for your application, although I really can't tell what you are running from your sig as you are missing a couple channels of amplification for what speakers you have- Welcome to the IHoP
Got to ride in a Unimog though because of it- Welcome to the IHoP
I was in Chile. How's that for a honeymoon? Earthquakes and a washed out road which had us isolated on a city halfway to nowhere and paying for two hotels.- 4th order question
nope, going for fairly flat response. i won't even be running the full RMS power of the woofer (at least initially), so cooling really shouldn't be an issue. i just figured that i might as well do it right in case i decide to run more power in the future Then I'd point the ass of the driver into the space that is most convenient for the box- Second Skin damplifer pro behind drywall?
Yea that would be way more cost effective them $5000 worth of damplifier pro. I like that THX certified drywall. I would like some THX certified car insulation... Damplifier would do pretty much nothing. It is a mass dampening layer NOT a sound barrier. There are plenty of actual barriers that can be used but butyl rubber isn't one of them. Dmaplifier is not a mass damper. No such thing Damplifier Pro is a constraint layer damper. Mass has nothing to do with how it performs. Mass loaders are product like Luxury Liner Pro. ANT Not true, mass will ALWAYS affect the natural frequency and other modes of anything. You mean constrained btw. Perhaps you'd like to explain how thickness makes a difference but it has nothing to do with mass.- Welcome to the IHoP
Ask a better question 500 posts and you still need help making a thread. How was it a bad question i needed to know something so i asked. It wasn't understandable- Welcome to the IHoP
Ay, jesus. First time I felt a quake it skeered me- Welcome to the IHoP
I am a bit hungover, amusing since I was in bed by 9 (IIRC) It was too nice, I had to go boating yesterday- Welcome to the IHoP
I just removed the off topic posts in AlanHall's thread. I don't mind his energy but his childish bantor is absurd. Is this fucking 3rd grade?- 2 18 trailblazer 2nd row wall.....
Off topic posts are now removed.- 4th order question
Being concerned about cooling makes me think you are doing this for output, 4th order isn't the right bandpass then. If you aren't then build away- Welcome to the IHoP
Tests done in 1997 though, so who fucking knows.- Welcome to the IHoP
I'd like to see those tests, hate to say I've seen the opposite all though it was years ago when I worked with a lab doing them. I've ALWAYS used RP and never had any issues with them. I wasn't really going to stop using them even after reading what I read. It just sort of piqued my interest, and then my buddy tells me he deals Amsoil, so I asked for some prices, and in comparison, I can't really say no. It's especially handy seeing as how most of my savings is going to be go to paying medical bills. Damn bastards! I use their 2 stroke oil for my snowmobile as that tested well, not sure on their non-lube parts but their synthetic oil failed compared to normal Castrol in the tests that I saw. - Welcome to the IHoP
