Second Skin damplifer pro behind drywall?
Yea that would be way more cost effective them $5000 worth of damplifier pro. I like that THX certified drywall. I would like some THX certified car insulation... Damplifier would do pretty much nothing. It is a mass dampening layer NOT a sound barrier. There are plenty of actual barriers that can be used but butyl rubber isn't one of them.

SQ head unit for my system
Personally I think the Imprint is useless as is the 9886. The 9887 has Bass Engine Pro or whatever they call it now and will actually allow you to set up your own crossovers and give you some semblance of a useful eq. Either way, buying for SQ is NOT specific enough to help. What features do you need? Considering your other equipment choices I am not so sure your definition of SQ is very similar to mine.

~The Right Sub~
The w6 and the Fi BL have NOTHING in common, completely different purposes.

~The Right Sub~
The w3 doesn't make any sense to me. The w6 is one of my favorite woofers, but no reason for the w3 at it's price point.

I love mine, and once Apple releases the update this summer i will like it even more. It does nothing that I need and you get RAPED for service. It's not that bad, I think if I were alone one a plan it would at most be $90. LOL, I use nearly 3000 minutes a month, have the full data plan and everything else and it is less than $40. On top of that there is really no application that the i-crap does better than the blackberry and it surely sucks in comparison for email.

8's Your truck SUCKS for pillar work btw. Stupid crap GM dash. I'd do kicks. How so? I really don't want to do kicks. Though i do already have an extra pair of kickpanels in the room incase I ever wanted to. I feel like the kicks in the truck are to small and tucked away. Sit in your truck and look at the a-pillar on the left and then look on the right, then think about the PLD's. Now realize that vertical separation of speakers can be "fixed" by t/a, but the rest is tough. On top of that there is soo much shit in the way it really sucks. The kicks can hold more than you think, sure they are tucked away but you don't need monster drivers to blend nicely with an 8.

How do you like them? damn i wish i knew, I still don't have boxes for them. got the xovers temp mounted but would be good enough to leave alone. Hopefully this summer I'll get them all finished up and actually get a listen out of them! Some of us are real curious

Building a Subwoofer
That depends on the budget, the application and the environment. The original request on another forum was for music, games and movies in a 13' x 13' room and a budget of $400. The Dayton RSS390HF-4 in 7 cu.ft. tuned to 18 hz with a Bash 300 amp would give him 112 db at 20 hz with room gain for games and movies. Plugging the ports would create a sealed sub with a Qtc of .664 for a tighter sounding bass for music. The best of both worlds within the budget stated. I am aware, but his idea of music is output and he will be gaining none by going that route so it won't fit his "best". I really doubt that tighter sounding is his concern.
