You can't get the best out of BOTH music and movies. If you tune for music and play movies you will destroy your sub without seriously using a heavy duty subsonic to knock all of the lows out of a movie. If you tune for movies, you will lose a lot of output on music. There is no best, just a compromise. Since you want games/movies though I'd be tuning in the 12-18Hz range.

No, the box won't be the right size for that and it wouldn't help. You need to build it for the lows you are looking for. If that includes movies then you are going to give up output for music by tuning low. The only way around that is multiple drivers.

Although potentially a bit uglier from an aesthetic point of view (read: getting laid factor)

Lows in music and hit pretty hard vs play the lows in movies/games are opposite things.

I found the mantide more interesting. I rather like what he did with everything except the interior, but i didn't read anything about the mechanical either. Their HQ is actually really nice on the inside. I have been in it a few times and by far it is WAY nicer than the others.

LOL, if that is what you call lows you have been deceiving us. Perhaps I stated that wrong. Either you are flat our lying about your goals or really don't understand any of this. Kickers can be great drivers if used in their application, but this is very, very far from their best application. *assuming you are truly describing your goals which I don't think you are.

Not where I went to school. The more open the test the harder it was. I'd always prefer a no note scenario. I usually would too, but these tests for the most part are pretty simple; one of the short answer questions on the last exam was "explain the differences between a surge suppressor and a UPS" :ehh: wtf, elementary school? I know the South is slow, but come on that is ridiculous

Thanks, I love and hate the idea at the same time. I love the fact that it means I won't have to spend 20 hours making some, but hate the fact that they are probably sub-par. Josh would have chinced out on the time though anyways and done something redneck and backwards so it is probably better.
