    why for me?
  4. Poll removed. Please read the noobie posting guidelines. The poll took away from the thread and didn't help it. SQ & SPL are EXACT opposites so you can't have both.

Cheaply made, not super accurate, but hell they sort of give them away. When flush mounting though I find that I am always wanting a notch in between where they are.

For real. Just installed 2 12" Q's in my buddies Escape (build log this weekend) and I don't know how you could daily that. It's just too loud. That was only off 500w a piece, picking up a 1500D here soon for it.
  13. My IXL 12 doesn't take that much power to get moving, but I'd be concerned at 2ohms on that receiver.
  14. The search function really does work well on this forum

Or don't post. Your incapability to manage the basic language of English is not acceptable. Please go back and review the second grade as remedial spelling is obviously well beyond you. Me? No, just expounding on your point to B7.

Warned and disabled for a week. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...227#entry503265
  19. Actually you get to go away for a week and think about this, and I am locking your thread. In a week feel free to come back and type a productive question but follow the T&C's and search FIRST!

And of course the speed limits in general are way too damn low in this country. If they were higher people wouldn't speed as much.
  21. You are not a Q buyer. Please use the search button :( and re-read the noobie posting guidelines that you JUST agreed to when joining the forum.
  22. Square inches is an area, so you measure the area of your port. Not always L*W as it may not be rectangular.
  23. If that is truly what you want, you shouldn't run the AQ. I severely doubt that is what you want though. Care to elaborate a little more? Any sub that excels in a 38hz box is FAR, FAR, FAR from an SQ sub. If they tell you differently it would only be chalked up to better sound through marketing. That and personally I think they sound like hell. Smooth response is NOT their forte. If you believe so you are drinking the wrong koolaid. If that is truly what you want, you shouldn't run the AQ. I severely doubt that is what you want though. No offense......you say this to everyone that says SQ and SPL in the same sentence. And for most people.....you're right. After reading a bunch of reviews, I figured these would be a good balance especially for the money. Maybe they aren't.....if thats the case then I'll just go with SPL for now Not for most people for all. It is really, really, really simple. If you want a loud box it is peaky in nature as that will be the loudest it can get. If you want an SQ installation, your midbass is your limiting factor 99.99999% of the time so you build a sub box will the flattest response possible and barely turn it up to mix with the midbass. It is also simple to make a thread where I won't say this. Don't use the terms SPL or SQ in the thread but instead describe your goals. The terms & conditions you agreed to when you joined the forum even spell this out. As for your goal of a mix, the AQ is far from it. I'd really look at something else.

I'm having trouble deciding between two things. 1. Which place to get them, I could get them from DDM Tuning, Future vision HID, or a local shop out here that will install them for $200. 2. What power to get i'm torn between 4300k and 6k http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/DDM_35W_...Kit-101-85.html http://www.futurevisionhid.com/xp-9004-hb1...-kit-p-159.html Neither of those are worth the money.
