Sean do you feel comfortable giving any recomendations? The slabs we wanted are sold. I haven't bought any up there, but can ask my brother in law. What did they call the slab you were looking at? I'm pretty much open to a different color. Vyara Juparana Granite is what we liked. They had some specificaly nice peices in stock though. The sample peice looked like crap. Like this? http://www.marble.com/stone/Juparana,Golden,Vyara,268.html that is damn close. the one we looked at was almost shaded with a blue gold type color. amazingly close though. that place has HUGE selection. Not super positive that Granite from India will be cheaper in St. Cloud; however, I'd call the places around Cold Spring, MN as along the highway there are a few different granite sales offices. They should be able to tell you if they have something similar and what it is a sq ft. It would be good for reference pricing anyway. Curious as to where you were when you saw the Juparana?
  2. Amps don't push anything. I wouldn't expect a Hifonics to do full power and I wouldn't expect it to last. For a ultra budget brand they are somewhat reasonable, but I don't ever see the need for a budget brand when there are used items for sale elsewhere.
  3. This would fit http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8406 Since you are only doing a 2 and not a 3, a mid like that Aura that can play a little further will help. This should give you the flexibility to run the widebander up top without issues. If my next car cannot house a full 3 way system, I too will be doing a 2 way with a full range driver and a midbass. My only concern in your installation is output as I am not sure how loud you want these to go.

All you know, it at an end Thanks Fucker It's worth it! Thanks Fucker
  5. To tell me (or remind) what amps you are planning on using. If it is undecided that is also okay, but then a budget would help me think about things.
  6. For a driver that may be the best aiming, but not for all. (conveniently in that sentence by driver I meant both the driver of the car and the speaker itself). First rule of thumb, mount them where the sound best to you. The second is refer to rule 1. A laser can be helpful to keep things consistent but some magical point to aim everything at does not exist across the board for all cars, speakers, and people.
  7. What are you planning to cross them with? And what mounting locations?

I am a front loader only person, they always clean better. You really feel that? I was totally unhappy with my last front loader. Whirlpool I beleive. It may have just been other things that ticked me off about it, but I never felt it did the job. I like the ease of use of an elivated front loader, but considering how simple the machine I have is now and how powfull it is, I'm happy. It's no beauty contest winner though.... yeah, front loaders are superior, just keep an eye on the gaskets on low level models. Maytag damn near went bankrupt after that Neptune fiasco...Maytag Repairman...lulz... Also, I do believe ///M5 comes from a gigantic family that happens to do anything and everything...probably has a porn star sibling to boot... No, I am just old compared to you. One of three kids, but all rather intelligent but with severe ADS and dealt with it by doing shit and learning. All of us strive to learn, my whole extended family is that way as well.

22k BTU open burner? Jesus motherfucking Christ it'll probably launch a goddamn space shuttle into orbit :wackit2: And won't really still be hot enough for true wok cooking. I am putting a 200k+ btu burner outside for those duties though, but alas I live in a part of the country that has 4 beautiful seasons so I will wok a little bit in the house.
  11. Only problem with the plug is that the lower tuning would have less area and I'd prefer it the other way around.
  12. You sell A/V gear so you know for $100 what to expect. I haven't heard those, nor am I eager to but they will probably do just fine. They will sound better with an amplifier and deadening than a $500 set will off your headunit, worlds better. Can you do better for $100? Probably, but once in that range it gets to be a bit personal as everything has its trade-offs and more so at price points.

  14. DON'T buy that amp and don't buy those speakers without listening to them. They are nothing special and really overpriced, on the used market well fine. Perhaps with your amazing experience you should "shut the eff up". Considering you have no deadener and then you propose that it does nothing? Nice. I'd guarantee my stock piece of shit GM truck speakers in my fully deadened doors running sounded better than your Type S's. I am sure I had more midbass and probably better clarity across the board. Do remember that in this game installation is 90% and equipment 10%. To the OP, I would go back and ignore pretty much everything that F-150 added to your thread. Sorry. So to answer your question, I'd spend the money on used speakers, a used amplifier, and some deadener. Focus more on the installation and less on the equipment. Don't buy a shit amp though.
  15. Can you elaborate on the Play Doh? I'm not really sure I'm following you? Instead of velcro. Any sort of bed that "holds" the speaker in place a bit will work.
  16. Old skool, the Rs100 would be a WAY better mate to the RS225. The "some" people that use the 225 that high have a real hard time hearing breakup then which is shocking to me because when the RS series go into cone breakup they are nasty. I prefer my 180's crossed not much above 1200hz and the 225's breakup lower. The next question you have to ask yourself though is why you are using two midranges. If they were on the same baffle it is one thing but in different positions I'd personally let the RS100 do a lot more work and get a dedicated midbass for the low end. If you truly want to have your subs fill in the lower range, which personally I try to avoid using the sub at all and maximize the front stage first, then I would look for a higher efficiency pro audio driver to give you upper midbass kick. Something like the Beyma, Faital, or B&C 8's. As for you on axis question Ryan, if you get the driver side on axis to yourself the passenger side should be on axis to you as well It will of course make the staging more of a one seat presentation, but you can use your headunit to setup an "equal" stereo sound for when you are travelling with someone...if you are that nice. Personally my car is for me and no one else really notices anyways.
  17. I'd rather have a 9811, 9813, 9833, 9835, 9887 and many more. Definitely not the best yet. Why would you rather have the 9835,9833,9811, or the 9813....... There the same Type of head with less capabilities... Scratch the 9811 off the list, it's only got bass engine plus. Copy the link : www.crutchfield.com/S-pVWt3Sused5/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?I=500CDA9815 and replace the model number you want info on. If it's does not have bass engine pro it's not worth decent money. IMO. If you are looking for usb, bluetooth, infrared (and any other conectivity options), go for the new models. crap indeed, 9813 and 9815 are what I meant not the 11. Thanks Adrian.

Don't mean to sink your ship since yours are new, but front loaders are WAY superior at cleaning and a lot gentler on your clothes.
  20. Personally I wouldn't use the Rs225 for a midbass, it is a midrange that plays low more so than a midbass that plays high. The RS125 is a great midrange, but you may want to rethink how it mixes with those tweeters. The highest you can get it to play nice is 2.5kHz which isn't high enough for any of the choices that you have selected. **also, no way in hell can I recommend a generic passive for your car. If measurements were made in situ then you should run active or keep it simple with a 2 way**

Yes, but that won't help you either as there are VERY different subjective point of views on this forum. What is it that YOU want?
