Were you affected by the flooding also? My home town is half evacuated and keeps making the front page of the USA today.
  2. And you aren't a sealed buyer by the way, just go ahead and port them.
  3. Neither. They are both in terrible spots in the line up. The 9886 is a very, very handicapped 9887 and the 5000 is a joke. I'd either spend less or more but not buy at that price point.
  4. meh, a single 10" sub is more than enough for almost any SQ system INCLUDING ones with monster front stages. As I said before, everyone who has had a problem breaking a Q is an idiot and bought it for the wrong reasons. They should have taken notes when reading the noobie posting guidelines.

Good, you seriously need the practice. You should do 2x what they recommend.

You need to be able to spell and form sentences to graduate. Well, I hope anyway.

This is more of what I was asking about. Conversing in the IHOP is great, but clicking the post button as many times as possible I just don't get. I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are. I've been trolling 3 different forums for a couple months now learning how to fiberglass. I've only posted once, but for the most part, ALL of the information is there. I seriously think there should be a "meeting" to discuss a little lengthier new member process. Even appoint a small committee to take care of new member activation and registration. I wrote some rules, everyone on the mod team approved them, but all of a sudden there was one person who didn't want to force them to be followed. It is sort of like feeding your dog table food too, once it starts it snowballs. Longterm without action it will ruin the forum.

    That wasn't my addition

I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are. I did the same thing. I searched threads and other forums and found the info I needed before I posted anything. I think it was either my first or second post was my build log and that was after close to a year of being a member here. This is a great community to be a part of, but only when it is used correctly. And when you do post a question I guarantee it will be one that we can answer instead of these stupid no information subjective nonsense threads. A little forum cleansing could be helpful.

The roux can either be made using oil and flour...or...butter and flour...that's the only ways i know how to make it Basically equal parts of any fat and flour can be made into a roux...bacon fat + flour + whole milk + lots o' pepper = amazing sawmill gravy sawmill is normally made with sausage fat, not bacon fat although bacon fat is good in anything. In our house its exclusively bacon drippings. Quite honestly it tastes 100000000000% better than the sausage fat variety... Then you need better sausage.
  12. Need a little more behind-the-boat time so you can stick those landings. I am jealous of the cabling system though as I had to learn exclusively being towed in the open water.

What SQ setup? So far all you have described is the sub which if the rest is done well isn't even really hardly necessary at all in an SQ setup.

Stop typing like that it is SUPER annoying. You think they are garbage, and I think you are an idiot. (note, equally fair statements) For a mainstream product, the Kicker is more than fine. I wouldn't say that it is the greatest deal I have seen and think you can get it cheaper but I might be biased. And yes, that box is way too small for that driver.

Doesn't it make you wonder how many subs it would take to do that as you drove by some ones house? NO. I could give a fuck less, my music is for me. I don't have some little penis I need to compensate for and annoy the world by driving by them and alerting them to my presence. I have just thought what it would take........... wow over reaction much? No, you thought of a specific application for what it would take and are now trying to change your tune. If you would have said how many dB's you'd have to hit to play to the same level I wouldn't have reacted.

You can make Gumbo alot of different ways ... It can take a while to make thought...maybe 1 to 2 hours..sometimes longer... You can also buy a store bought roux...or you can make your own. The roux can either be made using oil and flour...or...butter and flour...that's the only ways i know how to make it Gumbos consist of different things, for instance, green onions, parsley, perhaps celery and other things.. You can have either Seafood Gumbo,. which usually consists of crabs, shrimp, oysters, maybe even crawfish(crawdads) another one is were you can use either chicken or turkey and either andouille or smoked sausage. It usually has Okra in it as well I usually make mine with chicken, andouille sausage, shrimp, and okra....that's not counting the other spices i add too it as well. Before i add the meats and little bit of seafood i have..i make sure to cook it and season it before i put it in the roux...even the okra...because the okra is sticky and...well its just better when its sauteed before adding it to the mixture. if you want. you can always go to www.foodnetwork.com and you can find different recipes on there on how to make it!! everyone makes it differently. Its amazing!! Gumbo is all about the ultra dark roux, which I am skeptical that you can buy. Conveniently it is easy to make although it does take a while.

How is your trip going? We just got back from St.Louis and every flight was either canceled or delayed. Took almost 2 days to get back to PA. Made it to LA with no issues.
