everyone read leave opinion
Well it all depends on what the score was, if it was like 164 and went to 164.8, I'm sure you'd here some difference. Nope. And btw it would be easier to hear the difference between 100.0 and 100.8 but you still can't

Where does everyone get there.....
Audiogon is dangerous to the wallet Got my preamp from there... Indeed it is... Got my maggies from there, I try not to visit that site, don't need the temptation. :0 lol, you mean my maggies Indeed good sir. You get that tweeter panel working? Haven't actually looked at it yet.

0.8dB is under the human threshold of hearing a difference between. On top of that dropping two different drivers into the same cabinet is stupid, unless they truly model that way so it isn't valid either. The only real logical comparison is ideal to ideal, and regrettably this also requires correction for the room. If all this is done fine and dandy, if it isn't (and I have yet to see this done on this site) then the question is stupid and most of the answers will be too. As I stated before, there is a direct correlation of how shitty the answers are to how dumb the question is. Everyone who is reading this and doesn't agree, please go read the noob posting guidelines on this site as you need to.

Sakana in Montecito would be your best bet for sushi the next time you're here for raytheon or jpl or whatever it is you do when you're in my area. Elements and Bouchon are excellent eateries if you want california/french and Boathouse has the best location. that's really all there is to know about santa barbara; after four years here everything else has been rather unmemorable. oh and i like the fes parker's weekend brunch buffet (it's $45 cheaper than the biltmore's brunch). Love the rec's. Thanks guys. I should start a log, but I am not that smart. I will remember to ask though before traveling where someone is nearby next. I spend a lot of time in SJ, but make it to SB maybe once every couple of years.

help on my active set up
If you raise the HP crossover point on the tweeter does it still sound scratchy? *what are your settings currently at?

Got an Idea Here... Tell Me What You Think...
Much better start. You really can't add a midbass to the stock crap and expect any results.

If you want to see what others have to say, it is better to be more specific in the application. Asking x vs y will get you a bunch of ignore's from users that know and a bunch of crap answers from people that don't. Welcome to the web, if your questions suck so will your answers.

97 Maxima Build Log
Yea, if I take .4cf away from the box, i can fit the 2 E8's and 2 6.5" Tang Bands in the deck IB. The real question, how much of a difference will a 5.4cf enclosure sound vs a 5.8cf enclosure tuning on both will be around 30hz with 3000rms on the pair of subs? I'd say scrap the extra pairs of drivers and just do the 3 ways up front. Not like you want to buy another H701 so you can actually run them all anyways. Well, both front and back would be 3 way active. The H701 is for EQ, I'm going to use the crossovers on the new SAX-100.4d amps. But I sense an overall opinion to scrap them, so I may do that for now and see how I like it. I can always revisit the rear at a later time. Using amps as crossovers is never a good idea IMO and it would be a huge waste of a H701 to not use it's crossover potential. Plus rears are useless.

And if you give them the choice they will eat the corn in front of them and leave the grass. Visit a farm once... I realize where you are from they graze, but there is a reason that nobody gets giddy over Texas beef of course unless it is brisket but the quality to begin with is a bit less important with cooking methods that take upwards of 12 hours.

I have a beer and just tossed some food on the grill.... Sumos has Kobe beef... Perhaps it is Kobe-style beef, I doubt it is Kobe. Cheapest I have pretty much seen the Kobe is $15/oz. I don't think people would pay $150/wholesale = $300 for a 10oz steak in a restaurant in Wichita...I could be wrong, but doubt it. And YES the difference is huge. American Kobe-style beef is a joke in comparison. Visibly you can tell the difference even if you don't know what beef looks like. Yeah, I think I'll stick with my grass fed usda choice/prime steaks for 35-60 a piece from the butcher :wacky: Grass fed?? You sir need to sample the tastier things in life. Corn is what you feed beef, not grass.

Welcome to the IHoP
Because its Kansas... There are some really good places to eat in the state, you just have to know where the little hole in the walls are, but there are plenty of 'restaurant in a box' places if you like that (Applebees, Old Chicago, etc, etc), but I can eat those anywhere... The brewery that is in Old Town serves some pretty decent beer I think, but haven't really tried to many restaurants that I could rave about in Wichita, I know the woman realllllllly loves the sushi at Sumo's there in town. Course then in my opinion there is no place to get excellent food here in Manhattan either, all we have is choke-n-pukes and typical chains. I am not so interested in Sushi in a town this blue collar. podunk sushi ftl, great way to get sick. Sort of like average CA sushi...so prevalent the fuckers don't even care if its old anymore lol, you hit the nail on the head there, there's gotta be over 20 bad sushi places in town and only two or three that are edible. i don't even know how or why there are so many sushi places in a town of < 100,000 people. i will say though, that when you have a surplus of sushi places some are bound to be really really good. Yep. Had the worst sushi of my life not so far from you, but also some of the best. Easier to find the worst than the best though which is fucking crazy dumb.

I was not aware, but rest assured the next time I'm in Kansas I'll hit up a good BBQ place Your lookin' for butt & ribs up here, the brisket is good but that can be found in Texas as well.

real Kobe beef is only available in Kobe *goes back to his corner* Not quite. Must be raised and slaughtered in the Hyogo area. Can and is shipped everywhere. Costco sold some at Christmas time, but a prime rib roast was $1700 IIRC.

Working with the Aerospace companies. In town are: Learjet, Hawker-Beechcraft, Cessna, & Spirit Aero. In the past few years, Spirit purchased this division from Boeing and an investment group bought H-B back from Raytheon.

What's the best way to tune an Amp...
It may default to some frequency the manufacturer determined. That should be rather prevalent in your manual.

Fitting that I post this right under bigjon's post, but I walked in and found my best friend on his bed in a pool of blood with a shotgun. His name was Jon, and I had two friends named Jon. This one was Big Jon. I miss that fucker.
