  1. Nope and never will. Overpriced, overhyped.
  2. Honestly it is a joke to think 300w will even stress the stock electrical. Just make sure to wire things appropriately. 300w really isn't very much power...my to midranges get that.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard all week, especially considering that yesterday was St. Patty's Day and the day before that I spent a few hours with my nephew on Xbox Live Really, are you truly that lost??? You are saying that you can have a valid opinion with no experience? Good luck enjoying life with that attitude. Blind squirrel syndrome ftw That shows a lot of respect for those around you.....well if I don't know, I can't do no wrong. Friggin' nice. I know you want to argue and disagree with me because somehow it makes you feel better, but really defending idiots saying bullshit about everything is not the way to do it.
  4. Someone else pointed me to this thread, but just to share what idiotic internet hype will do to people here is a prime example of really, really wasting your money. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=371368 Just as much as there should be a thread on how to deaden, here is one in how not to.
  5. Keep up really depends completely on your definition. What do you have for processing? I just want to be able to hear it. Processing, is just the radio (premier 590), which ill be gettin a different one cuz the front channel are messed up on it, and the controls on the amp. Currently with your setup you CANNOT run the goldwoods or the Daytons. You need crossovers kid. No wonder it sounds like ass. If you are going to run DIY drivers you need active crossovers. If this is truly the route you are going to run please buy a headunit that can handle this and do some background reading and searching on active crossovers BEFORE buying anything else.s
  6. Whose farts have more knowledge about sound than you do. The first step to "being loud" is not to build a wall. Im very sure we can bring a few walled cars over and toss them on the meter vs your non walled cars. Funny. A novice with a wall versus anyone with experience and an enclosure will get smoked. Which one is easier to redo when you realize the tuning isn't right or that the sub is choked? First enclosures in any vehicle are never right and you are inferring that you are recommending to a noob that it will be louder if he walls it. Terrible recommendation in my book and I am sure you cannot prove differently.
  7. oh I knew they were being massively overpowered.. I just didn't care lol. I hooked it up to .5 ohms which is about 7k on my amp and they are rated for 1k each.. go figure It was a rhetorical question.
  8. Touchscreen you'll have to go Alpine and use the H701. Not ideal, but I like that option a lot better than the Eclipse.
  9. How did you blow your temporary subs too? Are you deaf? It is rather easy to hear when a sub has reached a point of no longer being happy and is about to go. First things first you should evaluate what you are doing as it doesn't add up.
  10. You can do it, Polyfill will help, you might want some extra eq & power as well as you will be choking them a bit but really that is pretty close.
  11. pros: mis-properly used you could burn up your car and collect insurance money...if you have really stupid insurance cons: it costs money and does nothing

I have found several compacts that are very fun to drive, especially given their power-to-weight ratio. The only thing I've ever dislike was the torque steer.l Yeah, and me and compacts go hand in hand. Nothing quite like a car you put on instead of getting into. x2 In not as tall I don't this as Sean, but I'm a great big huge and currently really fat guy, and my shoulders are so wide that the B pillar in most vehicles is horrible. And the panel that houses the console etc, on the right of your legs, litteraly will bruise my shin/leg from normal driving. When my truck was down I drove the wifes cobalt for the week and car pooled. I lost 90% of the hair on the right side of my shin and calf. Damn nordic genes makes everything wide. it's strange how some compacts are deceptively large inside. my dad is 6'9"/245lbs and he fits comfortably in the GTI, it's actually quite efficient in it's use of interior space, much roomier than my accord. i must also say i was holding onto a friends' honda pilot (not sure on the year) for a couple days and it had more interior space (especially headroom) than any other vehicle i've ever driven. I fit in a GTI as well, but of course your dad has 1.5" and 20lbs on me so that makes sense although most people my size are all legs and I am pretty much proportioned mostly normal.

Measuring sound isn't as easy as having an SPL meter, but I do usually know where an accurate one is

I grilled chops last night I <3 my egg You bought one of these yet? They are finally going to release a plate for the C4 so I can finally get mine. I know its cheating, but making life easier is well worth the $250.

I can still hear a lot outside the car, even though, except the roof, all the panels are pretty dead Have you tried a foam material. I have no understanding of why, because from what I understand 90% of deadening is just adding mass, but layers of foam on the roof made it sound so much more dead than just the deadener. I wish I would have put expanding foam in the supports before I put sheets of foam over the supports, but it really made a huge difference. I can't tell you why, but it made some kind of difference for me, in a big way on the roof. You need a barrier, not just a damper. The damper helps with stopping resonances, but a barrier can actually block sound. Aluminum backed vinyl is great for this.

depends on your definition of most. Deadening is teh most effective way of improving your sound, it is part of the "installation" which is everything. Drivers, amps, and h/u choices have nominal differences in comparison.
