no +1 for sharing, way to be a douche bag i was sharing the music! and i can only fit so many people in my car. we even tried squeezing the sub that i had when teh fire drill went off in my car! he threatened my friend that if he didn't gtfo he was gonna tell the real teacher that he was swearing, cheating, throwing chit (yes he said chit), punched a whole in teh wall (the sub accidently put a hole in the wall during class =]). but then the fire drill was over in the middle of his sentence Even worse on the douche side since you are bragging about being one.

Vicodin and beer together can be fun

Reeeeeally? That's good to hear...scratch that...great to hear...sucks that there are so few RWD/AWD cars available. I don't mind driving a truck the least bit; if it comes down to some shit ass FWD compact/midsize or truck (and it might very well turn out that way) then the choice is obvious. I'd just rather have room for people...and stuff... I've never in my life spent 20 on a car.

It took 12 hours to get a radiator in Fargo, ND for my 328i...but that is also what I would consider rednecksville and also home

I6 BM'ers are ultra easy to work on. Almost like they were engineered to be serviced. Getting parts for you might on the other hand be an overnight ordeal.

There is a TON you can buy for under 20:) You should go and drive a bunch of everything, that is more than half the fun anyways.

And most expensive to fix, which is not a good combination

The C is a four door and yes they have terrible mech issues in the years you were citing for other "luxury cars". In general the past 10 years or so, Mercedes is by far the least reliable of the German brands.

    budget?
  10. Let's stop shopping and discuss more about what you are missing. How much power do you have going to the Daytons, what frequencies are they playing, how are they currently installed and to what, what amplifier, what wiring, and most importantly what about them do the Goldwoods overpower?

I am not interested in a FWD piece either and never will be, hell I won't even let my wife get one.

I'd also HIGHLY recommend the 1989-1995 5 series BM'ers. Probably the most reliable of the lot and a hell of a lot of fun with the 3.5L as well.
  13. So the Dayton's aren't loud enough? At what frequencies do you need more?

Audi's do bias the front a bit, but not in the S series cars where the use a rear bias. Either way when traction is an issue I don't find the bias that noticeable and they drift rather predictably. I have nothing but high marks for the cars, as long as you don't chose a turbo model, make sure the tranny is in order, and don't go off roading and whack the front ends way out of alignment.
  19. Where is the spot to vote for no wall?
  20. You don't want to cross them both at the same frequency. Why not replace the 3.5's in the dash with just a tweet and run a 2way instead. It will sound WAY better.

Thought all A/B/C/D platform Audi's/Volkswagen's were FF? awd is not fwd in my book
  22. it is a pro audio driver. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=264-424 as for processing i am probably goin to have a passive setup with this crossover: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl....144&scqty=2 for the tweeter and midrange, and have midbass on a different channel. or use the 3 way version of the crossover: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=260-150 the amp im using is a alpine 5 channel Regrettably, you need to start over completely. You really, really, really shouldn't run passives for a 3 way. You really can't use an off the shelf passive with that driver or pretty much 95% of drivers. That isn't a mid that belongs anywhere near a car...and will most definitely sound like complete ass with that crossover. My guess is you think you want to be as loud as possible for as little money as possible, but if that is truly your goal you should ask for help in with the complete system and not just on adding a driver, unless you don't care what it sounds like and just truly want loud only. My ears are bleeding just thinking about it.

That rectangular grill cloth thing is stock? I don't know if I've heard about anything stock there before. Except maybe with the reverb radio option which is quite rare. Sounds like you have to fit something in that area in front of the hinge, I have no idea how big it is though. But it does open up to the cowl vent area so IB is no problem. If his 'bird is anything like my Camaro, the parking brake pedal is right next to the kick so you can't really build it out at all. Unless that lower speaker area is out of the reach of the pedal... I have not had my own kick panels off, but I've heard they're a real bitch to get in/out Hope this helps. Crap. Have you seen anything installed there worth a shit?
