Welcome to the IHoP
rye > beet I feel strongly about that. And I'm on all kinds of cold meds. So I thought I would mention that again. I like them both, but since you weren't jumping up about the borscht I thought I would

Kicker CVX 15"s V.S.Fi Q 15"s
Depends, if he truly means low then the sealed box will be better. The first part of your statement was right, that isn't low; however, telling you to tune to 30Hz when you are using the word "hit" makes no sense. 32-34hz would work out WAY better for your tastes.

Which speakers to power off Alpine CDA-9886???
Tell him to save money on the headunit and put it into an amp. Then the doors are open for what he can use.

BTL BOX DESIGN
Because it has been covered a million times. . .Even with 100 watts, the BTL will still be the loudest sub Fi makes (of course there are more variables. . .maybe I should say "still has the potential to be the loudest sub Fi makes). 1000+ watts per sub is more than enough. I am fully aware of this. I still don't think they would be much louder than say a pair of BL's & he could have saved some money. (At least off of that power.) Your "thinking" isn't helping.

Welcome to the IHoP
Best food I've had that I can remember was Russian. The US pistol coach is from Russia, and at one of the national matches out at the USOTC he had us over for a bbq and got one of the other russian shooters to help him and his wife cook. Not sure what I had, but it was awesome. I lived in Moscow for a summer. Definitely lots of interesting things, although much of it is very similar to our food.

The Excel's will pose a crossover challenge though. I have yet to see any DIY 2 way plans including them, but will figure something out.

Look what arrived today
I am curious to see how it handles the 3000. It takes my JL 1000/1 well into clipping and laughs at it. Although output wise I get way more than I need with the gains pretty much set on 0.

FI vs DD
Obviously you don't have experience with anything else. Your sample set is so small I'd take your recommendations with a grain of salt. If you use the Hifnoics amps, be very careful not to clip the signal. Have you bought the amps yet? Funny you make a recommendation to not beat on the Hifo-crap amp and then recommend an amp built identically to it. Both are disposables, I wouldn't run either. Please stop whoring crap answers. Consider this a public warning.

Better to know than think. Quite blunt huh? This isn't crapaudio, posting junk that doesn't help people isn't tolerated.

Welcome to the IHoP
Long term if I were keeping it forever the GTS would be the solution, but they are crazy expensive in comparison. Since it will be a work lease the CPO'd Turbo will do just fine. If I can't get a Turbo cheap enough, just the V8 with air ride I'll probably get.

Just like I said in the Hop, you shouldn't think out loud when you don't know. It is ALWAYS better.

I read your first sentence differently. Enjoy Moscow I miss Russian food, but I guess I can say that about anywhere I have lived.

The air suspension rules, but I definitely want that shit CPO'd. Makes the ride height not look so friggin ghey. I really like this one and it is within my lease parameters for work. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=c...;standard=false Same color as my bassboat too, that would be sick towing it with the Turbo I have no real idea about porsche SUV reliability. It is awesome to have the CPO backing it up. I have never been a fan much of air ride. I was really shocked(pun intended) when I saw how cheep some after market companies make replacement air for mercedes though. Tha was my biggest scare when looking at air ride vehicles. If it weren't CPO I'd run like hell from the air ride. The standard Cayenne has coil overs IIRC which ought to be easy enough to tighten up.

Welcome to the IHoP
I might be tempted on the front stage in the M, depending on the price. How well do the Excel's work with the Scan's ? The only issue there is that I am spending my money on home audio which means I'll keep the drivers. The Scan's rock and are going into my next car. By far my favorite small profile tweeter.

It doesn't make sense. Rears are a complete waste both for output and SQ. More drivers is never the cure, the right drivers in the right installation is.

Welcome to the IHoP
It'll all go up here first. I might even unload everything that won't go into the car and turn it into home audio schtuff. Time for a new longer lasting hobby. It will also depend on whether a real 3 way+ factory integration product comes out and actually makes sense.

Welcome to the IHoP
The question is now will I change my mind again and buy something completely else? Been a hell of a roller coaster, but once I have it figured out the stereo shit has to come out of my cars so that I can put them up for sale. Going to be weird not having any sort of real tunes in anything I drive for the upcoming month/s. I may have a big sale too, if the new ride has navigation I will be doing a factory integration and not using my h/u's. Considering I have 6 h/u's it might be that time anyways. Only 2 worth mentioning though.
