Front stage help
Big jump to go from a 2 way to a 3 way. I'd start with a 2 way personally. Getting a tweet to play low enough will require either a large budget for a small tweeter or if you go large format there are a lot of options. Are you going to put them in the dash?

Crazy shit happens up here everyday, I don't quite understand why either. 2nd highest per capita income state, one of the best educated states, perhaps the winters make people crazy.

Amp for HAT L61-2
You definitely need a 4 channel, one channel for each driver. Well 2 2chn's would be fine so I guess you don't "need" a four channel. You could use a little 2 chn for the tweets and then a big four channel for the midranges and the other two chn bridged for your sub. Probably the route I'd go, but it depends on what sub you choose.

Opinions on sub and amp
Have you tried sine tones to figure out what frequency it is that isn't being played well for you? Personally I blame your front stage as your sub already is playing to high for my tastes being tuned to 37hz, I normally roll mine off not much above that.

Unfair though as you have a Japanese car and I drive a German one. Slightly different building mantra's.

Most of my road noise right now is coming to my ears via my trunk. I didn't say wheel wells and the wall separating the trunk from the cab, just the trunk panels itself. You need a blocker here more than a mass loading dampening layer as I don't really think that structure induced noise is the issue.

Walling off blazer, ported or 4th bandpass?
If you are asking the question you probably should be building a ported, it will be louder than a 4th order anyways.

I haven't really ever bothered to put deadening in the trunk. Obviously not referring to problem spots like the license plate bracket, tightening hinges and stuff but the actual panels.

I am worried, I mean your state did elect Jesse the Body. Would be catching up to California in electing famous names And that year as a percentage we had more under 22 year old voters than any other. Crazy.

FORD CHEVY OR GMC?
Relax and re-read your own statement then "better yet a truck". If this is just about your subjective view on what vehicles are reliable, your sampling size is too small for anyone to care.

Where have you been? http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/depen...ge-#page-anchor Mercury and Cadillac are rated ahead of Toyota & Acura and so on. The one thing the big three have always done has made reliable trucks, and ones that actually have torque so you can do something with them.

Upgrade with limited budget
And have it break in a year and one day. I'd run like hell from that crap.

LOUD is subjective and requires a budget. Be more clear.

Which Sub?
And what sort of gain do you expect going from 800w to 1500w?

How to Deaden Hatch
meh, you miss everything. Install is the most important part of anything and bypassing the deadening and noise reduction should be the first step, not the last. It is quintessential in particular if you are assuming SQ. The time depends on you. A real full weekend is usually enough if you stay on task.

1/2" and 37hz is no surprise it doesn't sound good What about not too bad isn't what you like? Again, what we think about it doesn't matter at all, what you think matters, the system is for you. If there is something about it you don't like we can help though.

Caprice Station Wagon Build
No one can give recommendations without knowing how much space you have. So far we know really loud and $5k. John's question about electrical upgrades was ignored as well. If you want help answer the questions.

FORD CHEVY OR GMC?
/\ Stupid reasoning. Comparing a budget stripped out car with no options, ie the civic, with the Lincoln for reliability makes no sense. The Civic didn't have an air suspension, or a computer controlled electrical system, and so on. On top of that if you didn't realize that Lincoln's air suspension had problems, as did everyone else at the time, you really didn't think much before buying one. I also find it amusing that you were frustrated by a Taurus with a bad tranny that wasn't worth spending $800 fixing. Obviously that would have been one heck of a beater which doesn't typically correlate to reliability.
