Front stage help
Since you can easily fit an 8 and mention Seas I'd seriously think about the L22; however, the breakup mode at 4kHz pretty much makes it non-usable above 1kHz and even then I'd put a rather steep slope on it. Mixed with a large tweet playing to 1.3kHz or so though would work just fine with it. I didn't pipe up before since you have the 9886 and I didn't figure active would be something you'd pick. You will need to upgrade to the 9887 or something beyond the 9886 to do this.

Welcome to the IHoP
Got a new project. See the vacant corner? IB sub just got approved by the little lady. The bathroom is on the opposite side of that corner, about 24" x 42" x 8' of space available but even better it is vented into my furnace room. Two options: 1) Custom cabinet built into the wall. 2) Sub in the wall, grill covering it. My wife has asked if anyone on here knows where we can get grill colors in lots of choices. So anyone? Bar area with the door open hiding some of the wall. Door closed so you can see the area. The same corner, just on the bathroom side. Oops.

Linedrivers? Good or bad for spl?
I would disagree with condition. Considering there is no gain in output by running a clipped signal there is no reason to do it and considering most people cannot hear distortion it is of a huge benefit to them to make sure that they are within the levels that their amplifier can put out. Not a mechanism to protect the speakers, but one to make sure that you aren't introducing excess noise/distortion into the signal when you aren't trained to hear it. All that being said, I set mine by ear but that is pretty easy since the sub gain is basically off in my car & truck.

Anyone here every restored any teak? I was given a table and chairs, but they have been weathered outside for a while and need some love. Not sure what to do, but I haven't googled yet either. I thought maybe someone in here would make my life easier...again

Opinions on sub and amp
The better question is what was your opinion of it. Much better place to start.
