I have some room destroying gas.
  3. Ok. I was confused as SPL is a term "only" applied to the subwoofer and if you run without one it didn't make a whole lot of sense. By SPL I assume you mean just loud. XXX's in the rear isn't a good idea. If you want your midbass to come from the rear you should probably just buy a sub that can play into the midbass range. If the Yaris has a 6" speaker opening, you should probably simplify your whole setup and move to a 2 way. If you could fit an 8 in there then potentially a 3 way, but considering your goals a simple 2 way + sub would be the best solution. Personally I would sell the L4's and the XXX's, but you could just try the XXX set and see if you like them first. Absolutely nothing wrong with having the midbass also take over sub duties if it's up to the job, in fact some of the best sounding setups I've heard do it this way I agree; however, in this case the midbass is in the rear and that isn't in parallel with the "best sounding setups" you have heard.
  4. SSD, personally I'd look at the Q for a sealed box Mach5 IXL SSA ICON All would be fine. What do you mean by a good mix of SQ and SPL. SPL and a small sealed enclosure don't really go hand in hand.

Should of argued at the top of the mountain, easier to push her off.
  6. The stealership will always tell you not to modify anything, but they are very short cited and usually idiotic when it comes to stuff like this. I'd ignore them completely unless they gave you very good reasons. If they just said I wouldn't, wtf do they know?
  7. It should be able to do mostly what you need it to and if not of course it should be easy to sell.

  9. Is the mid sealed off from the 8? I'd really want it to be.
  10. The hit is in the installation and box design, not the sub. Obviously some take to that treatment differently than others.
  11. Because you typed like a hood rat and used a word like prolly.

Andre Johnson was by far the best receiver on that field, actually one of the best in the NFL. Not keying on him isn't smart.
  13. Curious on the mounting locations for the front stage. As for the sub, I am confused by your 50:50 split on SQ and SPL and desire to go subless. Perhaps a different definition of terms is in order.
  14. Not exactly trivial to setup, but definitely helps when done correctly. Of course, just because you are using an amplifier for part of the crossover doesn't mean that you cannot use t/a. You will just have to use the amp to split the drivers that you mount right next to each other so they can share a t/a setting. Some have found the 360's to be noisy, but it would be cheaper than doing the H701. You could use the 650 as well though which might be an interesting solution. What drivers and approximate cross points?
  15. Doing things first and thinking second must run in the family. If he wants to throw away the money at the 7.1 no need to stop him I guess. Some idea of budget is required.
  16. Goes to show if you have absolutely no forum etiquette you probably aren't going to get the answers you needed. Really simple actually.

Jared Allen took out Schaub's knee, wouldn't have mattered though they can't hang with the Vikes.
  18. How big is the room? Having 7.1 at home is usually pretty worthless.

I am actually thinking about putting my boat in storage I figure that it would motivate me to paint the downstairs, replumb the bathroom, change out the range, build a breakfast bar, new fan, faucets, toilet in bathroom, new electrical, and pay someone else to do some sheetrock. I "need" to get it done by Christmas and considering my travel schedule think that the boat is getting in the way.

Jonathan, Nice first post. I love the comment on the searching, thank you for doing this the right way. As for your question regarding the Q, your amp will be fine. Great choice actually. Considering you are going to run sealed I would pick the Q over the SSD. If you desire more output later you can just port the Q as well.
