  1. 45hz should be fine, but if you are concerned just make the box larger as it is really easy to make it smaller later if you like.
  2. Not sure I am following. And DCR and Impedance are not the same thing btw. So to help you please let us know. What does each coil measure independently? What do they measure the way you have them wired and how are they wired (ie + to + or what)?
  3. Are you going to do a 2way+ a 3way+, do you know how "flat" the output from the stock headunit is, any particular tuning capability that you need?
  4. hahaha. Maybe you should research who you're talking to before spouting off insults. I've seen a 170 off of a single 10 (that wasn't a solox), so 156, 165, whatever. eh. and......I'm pretty sure there is no fiberboard "specially made" for the solox. any properly built box made with generic 3/4" MDF would sound the same. But you also have to take into consideration what the box that they design will do for your music. If they tune it to 45-50 hz, sure it'll be loud. But it'll sound like crap at anything other than an SPL competition. So you have to ask yourself if you'd rather have 365 days of decent sounding bass or 362 days of crappy sounding bass with 3 good days at soundoff comps thrown in? and if they tune it to something reasonable, like 32 hz, you won't be hitting 165 db, regardless of if they have magic fairy dust wood. COME TO CHAMPAIGN ILLINOIS AND I WILL PROVE U WRONG!! THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN SOUND Don't yell, in particular when you are wrong. well im just saying that if you wanna come here, i will prove you wrong...stop acting cocky, and get your ass over here to feel like a dumbass, better yet, i dont even want replies from you, please dont give me any....just fudge off, and go to what you think sounds better Enjoy your vacation. When you come back the first time a post like this happens you will be gone permanently. And no way I'd feel like a dumbass having you describe material testing to me. Just won't be in the cards, if you don't know why you could use the search function and you will find out which of course is something you should have been doing now for a long time.

obsc just took a 3 day vacation. All of the PM's and interactions on the site didn't help him, maybe some time to think will.

Sean, would it be possible to introduce a "Dumbass Newbie Thread Filter". I know there is a rule where new guys must have 3 posts in newbie sign in to be able to post other places and such, could a rule be implemented to tell new guys to look around at other threads before making a new one, like if they have a question, suggest that they use Search to find it versus make a new thread that gets repeated every few days? We have contemplated having some agreement people sign when they join that requires them to think a bit. Just haven't gotten around to it.

stuartsgoodenough just took a 24hr hiatus from posting. I asked nicely for more detail and to stop making useless threads without any sort of information and it didn't get better. He know has a day to think about how to ask questions in a way that will allow people on the site to help him.

wtf. Perhaps knowing what kind of car, what else is in it and so on might help.
  16. Either of the above can work fine. You really didn't give us any information to allow us to give you any help.
  17. Voicecoils, box, application, goals, purpose, music, electrical system, and so on.

Umm, what the hell is this. You gave us NO information. :(
  20. Fail. Let me give you a starting point. I have XX cubic feet, XX dollars, I really want a sub setup that will XXXXXXXXXXXX. I already have a xxxxxxxx And NEVER ask what is "better" again without qualifications that describe what you mean better to be.
  21. The "yo" actually gave enough away.
