Hopefully the 10 hours of sleep took care of the cold.

being lazy, fake people is what makes them ugly.

That in itself makes them ugly.
  5. What control do you not have that you want? First thing I'd under and/or overlapping your current drivers. I'd also try playing with different phase combinations.
  6. LOL. Not even close. If that is all you need then just do what your ears tell you.
  7. Nice car. As a minimum I'd use sealed MDF baffles, cover the holes in the door and deaden.

One pair of tweets ftw. IMO for what you want, mounting them higher should work out better. The reason that I say should is that do expect when you first start listening that you active setup will sound worse than a passive. Through tuning and playing around though it can surely sound better. I would also expect with the tweeters in the pillars that a partially off axis aiming will sound better. Of course it depends on you and which tweeters you are using but I would play around for a couple of weeks with different aimings and then pick. When you start playing with the phase on the mids, change them as a whole door.

Because of the huge sudden influx of morons? yeah........it's quite out of hand. Where did they all come from all of a sudden? Denim and the mods sure have their hands full. I pity the foo' I know it's not nice and detracts from the forum a little, but I can't help being a little bit mean. the majority of us in here feel the same way we refer to them as Fitards there's been a lot of simple minded name calling and negativity lately... I, along with the mod team will start laying out some warnings if it continues. I might miss a bunch of it as there are certain threads I know I don't want to open. Posting links to questionable things in here isn't a bad idea to insure we see it.
  11. wruening? seen it? sub out of the basket?

Damnit, I am not sure where to buy that one. <-- usually shops at the airport That one is a bit harder to find than most others but it's in a couple grocery stores and Barnes & Nobles around here. If you can't find it, I'd be willing to send mine. I occasionally run into it, I am thinking the auto parts store near me carries it but I am never really near me.

  15. It depends on you and what you do to install them. You really aren't giving us any information, the equipment doesn't make the install. I personally wouldn't spend any money on the CDT's. Way better options for less.
  16. NOTHING will even come close to keeping up with the BTL on your list. Not even close. If that is your goal, get ready to spend more on your front comps then you did on your sub, amp, and electrical upgrades.

I still think we need to require these noobs to agree to some logical terms and rules so that we have something to refer to. The tone on the site is going down.

Don't blame me. My fuckin' state always votes for the Libs. In that case at least the Lib was from MN.

  22. In your PM you said $1000 for speakers, on here it looks like you want to spend $1k on speakers, amps, subs, and the processing. It is going to make a huge difference... You still haven't really outlined your goals. Try and do so without using the term SQ and instead describe what you like.
  23. Deadening and install are the key, your not worth it comment amuses me. Both will yield HUGE gains. You are getting nice gear, make sure its home is nice.
  24. It is a great woofer. We have been over this before. You should NOT use terms like SQ or SPL and you definitely don't understand distortion. I'd guarantee on a sub that you wouldn't hear 10% so I am not sure why you'd care. What's that supposed to mean ? i have a good ear... i just prefer pure loudness, than strictly low-volume quality. i am a musician, i play like, 4 instruments, you have to have a good ear for that, at least. Simple. You don't understand the terms and you won't hear distortion on a sub. Your original question is really strange, in particular when you finally told us what your friend is looking for. The Rlp 18 can get loud, don't let people on here scare you but really knowing exactly what your buddy wants is very important here.
  25. I've had around 6 boards and still have the one that I bought most recently which is vintage 94. K2 big air freestyle board. Go big or go home.
