From: bjfish11 - enclosure material question
If you want lightweight, Baltic birch ply in 3/4" will be the same or less weight than a 1/2" mdf enclosure. Considering weight & SQ are your paramount issues, I would 1) Limit the enclosure material weight, obviously IB is best, small sealed 2nd, 2) Pick my driver based on what it can do, but also with enclosure size as part of the equation, 3) Limit the overall weight of the driver as this will make a HUGE impact on the overall weight. So what am I saying? I'd use a different sub and just a single one. That will give you more weight savings than looking at just the thickness of the enclosure. If you do use both, I would argue that you aren't that concerned with weight really.

clean ur drive way lol It was clean about 3 hours before. Look around at the trees, I have to clean it everyday for the next month and even then by the time you are done blowing it off it is covered again.

active question
I use mine as a 2way+sub so it is easy. Are you going to have amplifiers that will be flexible crossover wise? Have you selected mounting locations and drivers yet?

Rl-p 15" sealed alignments
Indeed. Worrying about the numbers of the enclosure without understanding what the environment of the vehicle will do to it is a bit pointless. Build big and be ready to make it smaller

Looking for better midrange
You surely don't need a tweeter with a 2". To this day the best sounding system I have heard in a car had no tweeter. I am not particularly fond of shrieking highs anyways, but I severely doubt you'd feel the need for a tweeter along with the peerless.

Looking for better midrange
You could do a 2" full range as the Mli's do play higher than just midbass. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8478 Then you could probably even hide them in your pillars.

God I hated Kansas. No offense, but you're about the only cool thing I know from kansas. I'm sure there are more, but jesus was it awefull driving through there. Mmm, bbq. KS ribs >> all others. Texas might win on the brisket, but dang are there good eats in KS.
