Completely valid and logical reasoning. Why are women stupid?

    mini-j is an ex now?
  5. Nobody can help you without understanding where you are coming from. Either the Q or the Icon in a 10 or 12 sealed will do what you want it to from your descriptions so far. Your description of what you didn't like about your sealed 12" Q surely hasn't helped us understand what it is that bothered you. We really need to start there.
  6. Not many have heard either and I don't think anyone has played with both. Going to be hard to get a real answer.

Progressive, and I was quoted $1300/6 months. The Volvo They quoted me $1K/6 months, and even the 04 S60R I looked at was $1200/ 6 months. I think for the most part it was becuase 1, the Volvo is a brand new model (C30), and the A3 is only a few years old, but shit. I have a perfect driving record, always pay my bill on time, never made a claim with ANY company, a few months shy of 30, etc. . . I'm half-tempted to buy another Taurus and enjoy the cheapness on every front and splurge my savings away on a set of twins and a stroker kit for the Cobra, but then what's the point in that when I don't even drive the damn car now. Have you tried things other than Progressive? That is absurd. My M5 is $450/yr, my wives Audi is $600/yr it sounds to me like you are being raped. Yes I have and combined with service, coverage, and price, Progressive has been my best bet for several years now. I know I am a couple years older, but am really shocked at how much yours costs. Minneapolis should be worse considering the size of a city it is as well. The Progressive rates for me are nearly 2x what I pay with Travelers though.
  10. That is the old one, not the new one.

Gotta go pull the boat out of the water
  12. Actually it says 5-10cuft. The sub takes .26 cuft and the port will take a few cubic feet as well. I'd also recommend going as big as possible which in reality means you are going to need more than 10cuft...
  13. You are going to accordion boot your window? I too will recommend the IXL's
  14. Its just the sound that I dont like. I love them for rock and metal that I listen too, but not for Reggae. They just seemed choked off to me. I know ported boxes can be peaky, but I have owned and heard a few that werent too bad. I dont want a completely flat response. Maybe what I want doesnt even exist. Possibly I just never had the right sub for sealed. I hated the Q sealed, it seemed to bottom out and really lacked something, but I liked my RLP 15 sealed. I have about 1000 watts to play with in the trunk of a grand prix. Sounds like a box problem, not an alignment problem. I find it very, very amusing that you don't like sealed but you do like ported. The major difference between the two is that the ported box will exaggerate or peak some frequencies, of course IMO this peak is never beneficial for the sound. Considering you have had issues with sealed I would guess that you had some errors in your boxes. In particular since you like the Rlp sealed considering the RLp definitely favors a ported enclosure.

Easily low enough to blend with the L8's.
  17. Agreed. On top of that 60hz isn't a sub frequency but a midbass one.
  18. It peaked at 47hz..It would still pull 140s @ 30hz. I am still curious as to what you are referring to as lows.
  19. Hardly. The BM's would: Sound better Handle the power better Cost substantially less As would the Icons.
  20. You need to make sure you have someone who can fit a 10cuft box in your trunk. Good luck with that.
  21. What do you mean by low, 47hz is far from low IMO.
  22. One of those subs makes the others look useless. Use the Brahma

I'd like the world to be better as well, but the first step in changing anything is realizing there is something that needs to be changed.
