Welcome to the IHoP
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,100528 You know, If your child comes to you one day and says, "Daddy, I want to be called 'Xontar, the Andromeda Galaxy's Prince of Pounding Spaghetti-O's'," I don't think it's in the best interests of the child if you enroll him in school as "Xontar, the Andromeda Galaxy's Prince of Pounding Spaghetti-O's." WHY NOT?

That is a TERRIBLE idea, great way to kill your imaging and pollute the sound of the nice speakers you just bought. More is not better, but worse.

3 idq 10s vs 1 icon 15
Not musical, LOL.

I wanna black out my windshield....
From the title I thought this was going to be one hell of a gay thread, then I saw it was yours and had to open it. Thank god. Love your idea, the psycho difference can be rather huge.

help with a little 2 way HT
I have no experience with either, but am sure that both are much better choices than the woodies. Tons of options that are more simple if you prefer though.

Zapco 9.0 vs Sundown 3000d
That was your settings, not the amp.
-
100.2 dilemma
You have are going to have a rather large sensitivity difference and it really isn't going to sound that good, unless you have some real measurement gear to really figure out exactly what you need for crossover components. If you are doing this just because you said that you could, you should stop it isn't worth it. Can it be done, yes, but considering the questions you have asked I don't think it will be done well. The crossover could easily be more expensive than the difference between upgrading your amp.

Active Settings Baseline
Check your grounds and make sure they are all really clean.

Channel separation and other amp. parameters
You are way over analyzing details that aren't measured to any standard. Many of the amps you listed would be fine. Either way, I hope you are spending as much time analyzing your install as you are your gear. That is where the difference will be made.

one of those sounds pretty damn tempting right now Except that one isn't ever enough.

Perhaps a non-K Bell option would be sweet. Ryan would be the one to ask though on the mod motors. And obviously disagreed. I just thought I had read a bunch of beef on Kenny's stuff. I stand corrected I guess.

Those are holding their value too well, I love the idea though and have thought about one multiple times myself. Everything that was right about the Impala SS and everything that was wrong with it has mostly been fixed.

A couple of my employees used to be technical application engineers there, what do you need?

Deflex Pad? What does everyone use behind their mids in their doors?
I think if you did measurements before and afterwards you would find that it is all in your head that the peak changed. It is NOT possible for Ensolite to help out that wavelength at all.

10" or 12" Q
That is an old wives tale. If you have space for a 12, And btw, subs should NEVER play high frequencies anyways. Anything above 50hz or so are not sub frequencies but midbass.

You can make anything look like those... There are a few fundamental flaws with the woodies for your build. For a first build, you should never do a three way. The drivers in that speaker aren't really worth putting together. An off the shelf crossover will not really work all that well. The design goals of the whole speaker does nothing for me. Personally I think they would be a waste of money. Instead for less you can really build one hell of a full range setup which will be simpler, sound better, and you can make them look however you like.

I have never use Knu before. I need a ton of 0 gauge and rca's etc. What sold you on them? Bang for the buck, and one stop shopping.

If you don't want to build much for a crossover building a full range setup would be better for you. Nice and cost effective as well.

Don't do anything with it, just disconnect it and leave it where it is. More drivers playing the same frequency ranges is always a bad idea.

Blowin subs :/
I am not sure I follow your logic on why with sealed you'd have less excursion. What sort of box are they in? Why are you running the DD's sealed? There is typically only one reason subs ever blow and that is operator error, we just have to figure out what you are doing.
