  1. No need to "break it in" if you set your gains right, but it doesn't sound like you did.

    vid dead in an hour
  3. The lake cabin looked more fun than the car show.
  4. I don't care about loud, that is up to you (or the boxbuilder) anyways but I can surely tell you I'd rather have the Brahma than 2 SE's.
  5. In particular tuned to 36hz. That would be a real loud box for that sub though.
  6. If you are going to get an amp later, I'd still get coaxes now and buy the components when you buy the amp. Unless it is really close to being around the corner (which it doesn't sound at all like from your post).
  7. I can highly recommend that you don't do business with that store.
  8. Um, he's an idiot. Page 15 on the manual shows the crossover frequency in 3 way mode to be all the way up to 20kHz on the mid.

Ask for serial numbers, make sure they weren't or are a part of Ramos's collection.

    Unless BNIB of course.

Not much high, I'd expect a Punch 150 to go for $75-100 max.
  12. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I think they are priced a little high, but the old school Punch's are sweet.

    Good luck with that.
  16. I'd use the h/u exclusively and not anything on the amps. (unless you are ported, then use the subsonic)
  17. 20w rms? You are really, really optimistic. You'd be lucky to get a clean 5w out of your headunit. Don't trick yourself, if you will never buy an amp you really don't want speakers that will pretty much require one.

we all root for you! lol I was genuinely interested. Usualy you're working on some interesting project or traveling somewhere with something interesting to say. I have THE most boring CSR job. They just pay too well for me to do so little that I won't leave untill i'm fully vested. Just getting caught up at work Nothing fun.

Gee, thanks for all the uplifting and motivating comments.
  20. Aren't they ripping your head-off being up that high? I have never "set" the gains on my tweeters, just do the mids and level match the tweeters with your ears. It should probably lessen the hissing as you will be turning down the gains. I should have you clarify is it a hiss or does it change with the rpm of your engine?
  21. 0dB should be fine How did you set your tweeter gain?

5 hrs a day they said, that and 10,000 calories. Funny, it is significantly less than Coltrane practiced.
