Peerless or SB Acoustic midbass
If you can fit an 8, there is NO reason to look at 6.5's. The SLS isn't discontinued, but Peerless hasn't been delivering very well since going through the acquisition.

Yep. I don't believe in passing my rod from hand to hand so that I can reel. I cast with my right and reel with my left.

Wahoo ( ono ) , Yellow fin tuna ( ahi ) , Dolphin fish ( mahi mahi ), pacific blue marlin, striped marlin , hell there is so much there I don't think I could make up my mind lol That is my problem as well. I'd love to go bone fishing, but don't have a large fly rod nor am I sure that I should invest in a guide for them the first time out with something larger than a 6 wt. I'd really like to go for what is biting the best, but also would prefer light tackle as I fish left hand retrieve and would like to at least bring my own reels...don't really want to pack rods though.

If you were going to Oahu for a week and wanted to go fishing, what would it be for. Let's say I am going next Wednesday

Luckily the first four hours are the most important as it has a hard time absorbing smoke after that; however, you still need to slow cook that beyotch. well I just moved the smoker under the overhang in my back porch. It's about 5' x 5', haha. It didn't rain as much as I thought it was going to, seems we avoided the heavy stuff yet again somehow. But I decided to bring it in to the oven anyways because I ran out of the Jack Daniels wood chips we were using and charcoal all at the same time but didn't feel like going to the store to spend 20 bucks for more. So that was convenient that they ran out at the same time. Now just about 3-4 more hours at 225 in the oven while sitting in the marinating liquid + a little water under foil should do. Then we'll see how I did on my first time smoking. Finishing with a braise can yield stellar results. When I am short on outside time, I do that myself.

We chose the Firebird instead of the scenery here, should have tried to do both but I would be the age of the scenery that I see is a bit older than what you guys found

How does a sub play 10 hz when..
That was generous, it is known to be at least 3dB regularly much more.

indeed. Crock pots have no use IMO....well other than to keep dip hot or similar for a buffet. They are not made for cooking. I think it has its place, though may be limited. Putting most vegetables, especially green ones, in a crockpot will just make them mushy and not awesome. But I think meatballs are good, and a few months ago I made this awesome chicken stuff to put over rice and it was awesome as well. Too bad I can't remember the recipe, haha. I've got to start writing these things down. My gf has been asking for it like every month since then. Let me clear up the misconception with my statement. Everything you can do in a crockpot you can do better in something else.

Focal or Boston acoustics
That is a hell of a lot of dough for a set of passives, I'd never buy either without hearing them in a good install.

I'll see what I can do about it. See if we can drum up a party tonight.

To be honest, no clue. The standalone motor pod is going to be spinning @ 300rpm, the platter's at 33.3rpm...the part I haven't figured out yet is the tonearm mount-to-plinth connection...needs to look good and isolate the tonearm from platter/bearing vibration, although with an inverted bearing vibration should be reduced a lot...http://teresaudio.com/t-265.html - that's the kind of style I'm going for, except I'll be using a frosted acrylic platter instead of cocobolo... Only kind of fishing I really do...hope you've got spinning rigs on the longer side You could send me the parts and I could measure their resonance...curious as to the energy imparted by a normal room though. I've never bothered/tried/or heard of it being measured, but can do.

any idea what the frequencies of interest are you want to isolate?

loud subs?
20hz is about the threshold of hearing and indeed the lower the frequency the further it travels. Either way the original goal of this thread is super, super childish and the person asking should be ridiculed and shunned for it. Build a system for yourself or for competition, but not to be a little small dicked dipshit to piss off everyone around you.
