Here's another one for you whores, but with a slightly different background. <-- definitely not a Yamaha fan, but to give you an idea of my buddy that was known as the fastest stock sled for a long time needless to say he "had" to buy one

Dang, I suppose now is later and I'm not tired anymore.- Welcome to the IHoP
the dudes who built my mooring cover didn't cut out the access for the cleats so I couldn't pick up my boat. I hope they are open tomorrow as I want it in the water for the summer on Sunday.- Welcome to the IHoP
i have to go to a friggin' graduation. boo.- Midbass -----Metal
The 730 can be used only for the front stage and do a 3 way, not ideal but IIRC the channels are fully adjustable frequency wise so it would work. The h/u would then have to control the crossover for the sub. If budget isn't a concern, the L8's are supposed to be beasts as well.- 12" Sub geared more for output
The Sundown impedance wouldn't work with the current amplifier. The amp I still need to talk my sis into- Hushmat, Dynomat, or Raamat?
Out of your choices, Raamat for sure.- Audison Or Focal
That was my point. Neither of your original options are worth the extra dough to me.- Welcome to the IHoP
Dropped the engine and tranny in the F.bird. Pics later, I'm tired.- Welcome to the IHoP
Cool, now to extract monies from the sis.- Welcome to the IHoP
Everything in them is on special right now at PE.- Welcome to the IHoP
yes, the machine is not as important as the grinder. If you had a $700 budget, I'd spend $500 of it on the grinder and $200 on the machine.- Welcome to the IHoP
The biggest thing you can do to make it better is get a good grinder, I have found this one to be the best. http://www.chriscoffee.com/products/home/grinders/m4stepless I mine. As for a machine to "brew" I use one of these: http://www.chriscoffee.com/products/home/espresso/vetrano It makes awesome espresso or americano's better than any coffee house in town As for beans, I either roast my own (but have to go to my dad's house for that) or get beans from Dunn Brothers or Intelligentsia in Chicago. I like the roast from Intelligentsia better, but either way the most important thing in a coffee bean is that it was roasted 3-14 days before use. Anything longer and they get stale. Same with grinding, beans should be ground no more than 15 minutes before use...and yes with my machine you will notice a difference in that little amount of time.- Midbass -----Metal
I think the Peerless are currently out of stock though. Should be some used ones floating around. 3 way or 2 way will make the big difference now.- 12" Sub geared more for output
LOL, I have an IXL 12 I think the next step is to "con" her into more power- Welcome to the IHoP
<-- spoiled in the coffee realm- Midbass -----Metal
You have the 730 already? Although that is only a 3 in 3 out so if you do a true "4 way" (sub included) you will either need to use the sub outs on your h/u or have a little crossover availability on your midbass/sub amps. If you go 3 way up front, Neon gave you two stellar options. If you go 2 way it will be a different story. Budget? Other drivers you want to use/need/space for? Amplification? Oh, and the deadening comment wasn't a joke it is 1000% necessary.- Boston Z6 Amp suggestions
Are you sure that it is getting hot from the 3ohm nominal load or because you have the gains cranked to high? Thousands of options for amps, what's your budget?- Welcome to the IHoP

I'd gag too if I had to drink starburnt or charbucks or whatever you call that.- Midbass -----Metal
What do you have for processing?? That will determine what you can use. - Welcome to the IHoP
