Hitting The Lows
Maybe "most setups owned by 20 year olds" whats wrong with being twenty i bet you were here once and your prolly sad that you not any more LOL You missed his point entirely. His comment was that 20 year olds misbelieve that what they think they want everyone wants, but in reality most setups aren't that way. And to make it worse no matter how much you explain it with all of their 20 years of wisdom they won't believe you. Nothing wrong with being 20, a lot wrong with being immature and close minded.

ALPINE OR PIONEER PLEASE ADVISE
Your next step should be to read up on active processing versus passive and make sure you are comfortable with it. Basically the h/u acts as a crossover and has 2 rca outputs for your tweeters, 2 for your mids, and 1(or2) for your subs. Of course this means you need an amplifier channel for every driver. IE with 2 tweeters & 2 mids & 1 sub you'd need 5 channels.

Head Unit Suggestions
With the Adire's I'd lean towards something that is active capable and using them that way. ie 9887 or 800prs

Ohm question
We have already been over this and I am going to be stubborn because thats me and I want them so, thank you for answering my question elmx479 Actually M5 what would you suggest just for my own info. I have an 04 Caddy Suv running a 100.4 what would you put up front to have no rear speakers JW? Depends on your budget and installation skills. If you are just going to bolt things into stock locations I wouldn't even bother.

That isn't made for whine, look at the specs it says Unity Gain not filtered gain or anything else. If you have whine that will amplify it just like your amps. If you only have whine at high volume levels on your headunit it will allow you to get more voltage out of your pre-outs earlier on the volume knob so it "could" reduce your whine a little bit, but it is not at all the right way to do it. On top of that Line Drivers IMO are really a waste of money anyways. All they do is raise the voltage from your headunit to a higher level so that you don't have the gain turned up as high on your amplifier to get the same output. They don't allow you to turn your amp up further and get more output, just have them do the same thing at a lower level of gain. So the real question is why the hell would you waste money on one?- Welcome to the IHoP

Putting the engine in the Firebird on Friday. His plans changed. 383 stroker (poncho 350 not Chevy) with a crapload of compression running on E85. The thing should really rip with that and the TKO. Builder estimates 475+hp.- Welcome to the IHoP
going to pull it out in the next week? I have a storage issue right now with two boats, but we might have to.- Welcome to the IHoP
If I would have bought one of those instead of my Honda when I wanted to take my test, I probably wouldn't be selling it.- Welcome to the IHoP
Glad I could help waste some of your internet time and I hope to do it again.- Welcome to the IHoP

I definitely don't pick you as the Paris-Dakar type Jim- ALPINE OR PIONEER PLEASE ADVISE
My only comment to warn you on anything is that if you have either the 9887 or the 880/800 you can run active and not buy a component set. To me this is superior, but if it is over your head to have that much tuning flexibility I understand as well.- so like whats the problem with ireggi?
I agree with all points. Other than I have no experience with Dom, just web reports- Welcome to the IHoP
I thought you were linking a good deal- Welcome to the IHoP
Sorry Ryan that fucking sucks- Ohm question
Perhaps a more logical question is why the heck do you want rears? If wasting money is your thing...- component system
We need to understand your installation capabilities and the limitations of your ride as well. One thing is for sure you don't want 5x7's up front nor 6x9's in the rear...for that matter you don't really want anything in the rear.- ALPINE OR PIONEER PLEASE ADVISE
Personally I prefer the L/R eq of the 880, but if you won't use it then it wouldn't be a decision factor for you. I would personally with either of those decks, elect to run an active setup...considering you are a dealer I understand that this may place you in a strange spot with clients; however, you could have fun and use the OEM's for some of your manufacturers (ie Scan Speak mids (builds high end Alpine) etc). I do like the 5 chn solution; however, I don't quite understand what space you have and what you want to run. Since you did use the term clarity though I would really highly suggest completely scrapping all of the rears and putting all your dough into the front stage. It will sound SUPERIOR guaranteed. Of course if you choose the active route the next step is to really understand your space. I don't just mean dimensions, but aiming and of course how much effort you are willing to put in the install. $2k is plenty of dough for one hell of a system, but in order to get the most out of it you will have to choose really wisely. We'd be glad to help with that portion though- Welcome to the IHoP
I love the feel, taste, & sensation of collagen on my lips. Thank god for connective tissue!!- Welcome to the IHoP
