Welcome to the IHoP
Ramos, I bought a Loc-R-Bar for the Ranger and the instructions say to use a 1 3/8" hole cutter for a drill. Basically I am not super excited about drilling into the gel coat since it is so purty. Any recommendations for me? Also, if you know of something better than the Loc-R-Bar it is returnable still, but I do want some extra protection for my rodz.

But you still have the Z-71 so therefore you aren't saving the insurance

Welcome to the IHoP
You forgot the insurance payment for the Z-71 No, since the pretense of this was that it is cheaper to just keep driving what you have the only costs are the extra's associated with the new car.

Best componet set for the $$$$$
Almost all diy drivers are for home audio, but with your current head unit you will need a crossover as well...which hurts the budget.

it won't ever. That's what Sean was saying unless all the costs associated with owning that car are free, it would still be less to own oone car. I have had this same discussion with the soon to be W and go over the math every 3-4 months. My dad bought a brand new Hyundai Accent, and the car payment + fuel cost is still less than his 97 Z-71's fuel costs was... Still have the Z-71 for fishing excursions and whatnot... He is at an extreme where he drives a lot of miles 200 miles a week is extreme? Okay, no just terrible at math. 200mi/12mpg = 16 2/3 gal/ week * 52 weeks * $4 = $3466 If the Hyundai gets 3x the mileage and averages 36 it is $1155 in gas /year which leaves $2310 for insurance and payment which is less than $200/month so I call- Welcome to the IHoP
Buys you a two bedroom condo here, maybe, just maybe a 750sq. ft. house. Market is higher there, so, what are you looking at? ~2000 sq.ft house (2.5 bed, 1.5 bath, 2 floors) w/ 900 sq. ft shop, 2-car garage, and a small yard in town right beside a park and close to schools. Wow! Congrats!s- Welcome to the IHoP

I'd still say processing depends on the vehicle and whether you can fit a 3 way and what size drivers and aiming. It makes a HUGE difference in fact.- Sealed setup question
Loud = ported, and his preference perhaps is biased since he has just heard crap boxes in the past...otherwise of course if he were truly SQ pushed then loud wouldn't have been a priority. As for the Xmax question, sort of but don't only look at it as there are a lot of other variables.- Welcome to the IHoP

Since you are an SQ guy, let's talk about the important part the front stage. Pretty much nearly any sub option should be fine.- Zapco DC reference 650.6
I'd just use the 650.6 onboard proc and see how everything is, why spend anything until then anyways? - ported box for 2 10" RL-i's
