Welcome to the IHoP
Taking waves over the top and getting soaked however isn't so exciting...depending on how you look at it. Lots of 40' boats trudging across the lake doesn't exactly make for a smooth ride.

Welcome to the IHoP
I just have a little 18'8" Cajun with a Suzuki 150 at the moment. The W doesn't like being on it on Lake Minnetonka where our dock is though. Something about getting airborn in a boat just isn't her thing. Lots of fishing better happen this summer!

Welcome to the IHoP
What kind of unit are you looking for? A 21' dual console bassboat with preferably a Merc 250xs on it for less than $25k. Something that is geared towards big water handling and dry and not all out speed. Most importantly for that dough I want something that lights me up when I look at it. Front runners: Legend LE-21 -- 2005 Ranger 521 DVX -- 2003/2004 Gambler 2200 -- 2003/2004 Champion 223 / 206 / 210 -- 2002-2005 I am really the most excited about the Legend, but am not even sure if I fit in them yet. The Gambler has to really be the right color as some are downright butt ugly. The Champion as well as their graphic package isn't always something that turns my crank. The Ranger can't have a black bottom as they look funny to me. Haven't been in a gambler in a few years. Do you still sit rather low in them while cruising ? Last one I rode in made me feel like I was sitting on the floor You might feel that way, but it makes me feel normal Actually, it is a bit strange and sort of hard to get down into the drivers seat.

new BTL cone/motor
Nick, I am sure you could sell just the motor, but for the price of the whole sub. You'd just happen to get a cone, basket, spider and a bunch of other stuff free!!

Need some help picking quality subwoofers
60% on the gain knob does NOT correspond to 60% of the power, the taper on those is never setup that way. How did you set your gains?
-
custom fi bl 15s
Perhaps you should define the benefit you are looking for. If the benefit is to say, "I have a custom woofer" then you really need to re-evaluate your whole purpose in putting in a system.

Decisions for next setup
28 cycles is pretty low for just being loud. 17.75" is easily tall enough to slant some 18's 4th order won't do what you are looking for Why not add more power as well and do the BTL's? When you say you don't care about being loud but you want to move more air, what do you mean??
-
Sub response vs efficiancy?
30 lbs is a rather high number for the weight you'd be saving, it would be less. If 30lbs causes your car to sag, you have serious issues with your suspension you should fix. Even on the track adding 30lbs will slow you down not even tenths so why would you care about it??
-
Is 18 guage wire enough for highs and mids?
And this is because?? Agreed, but I will say from a price point perspective I don't understand the 18.

need a 15" recone for a TC-9 +
yea, i know but last time i needed a recone that took forever. Perhaps you should treat your drivers better. Or just plan ahead and realize it is going to happen...

box problem for a 85 cutlass...too close?
How close? And yes get ready for serious effin rattles

Trunk produce SQ?
You can't define SQ of a sub alone but a system. You could easily build a very good SQ system with a sub in the trunk, but I don't think that is your question.

Understanding/dealing with cabin gain
Is this at all frequencies or just some? Have you tried moving your box around the cabin to see if the phenomena changes?

larger PVC ports, need info
If you get the thick sonotubes you can even use them as ports. They come in diameters that can get huge. I have an 18" one in my garage.

midbass in kicks?
You need to look at the whole setup to decide that, not just a little part. On top of that it will take a lot of time playing around to really nail it in. What all pieces do you have and are you looking to have?

Welcome to the IHoP
Got a guy in a brand new Legend Le-21 that is going to take me for a ride to see if I "fit"

Welcome to the IHoP
I know a couple girls that I have had a thing for for a long time that are really good friends. Once you're just friends its over. Maybe a drunk make-out, but other than that your screwed on getting past "just friends". At least you can get some ass from them every now and then.

Welcome to the IHoP
By my definition I had ZERO. Of course Physicists aren't known for being beautiful women.

help with aeroports
1.25 cuft and a 15" XXX ported will not get loud. You need more airspace. As for port area try for more than 15" per cubic foot, but you NEED WAY more space.

Decisions for next setup
I am curious as well. Pretty hard to recommend something without knowing what you don't like about what you have.
