  1. Easy to figure out, turn your gains down like you only have it now I think you will be more than fine.
  2. Hell if its a real beater, duct tape
  3. Sorry, I didn't even look at the page. It is 6" deep and nearly 10lbs...not exactly a little driver

  5. So that I can listen to music. Not if you have at all properly installed it. At loud volumes my system will definitely not carry 25ft if my windows are closed.
  6. We can't, but you can. It will depend on how far you want it to hang out the door and how much space is behind the mounting surface.
  7. IB, no enclosure needed.
  8. If you can really do it, 8's or 10's will be your friend. I'd probably lean towards the 8's for simplicity and the fact I have not auditioned many 10" midbasses although there is one 10 I'd love to run: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...;products_id=79 Depth and weight may be an issue though.

I go home tomorrow. Not 25 in a row, but I have only been home weekends and a couple days since Jan 1. So excited to be home for a while. At least 2 weeks!!!
  10. How big of a midbass fits in your doors?

Sounds like just a connection, you are going to have to take them apart to see where the damage is.

Unless you want to consider yourself average, I didn't.

Somehow I'm not surprised with your answer. I must be getting used to your asshattery..... I didn't say all Texans and am not trying to pick on you. Not in the slightest, but there is a HUGE difference. Nothing a bit of travel won't open your eyes to.

I really doubt that any of the mods here would run and edit their posts after being reported. That is funny.

No bass in the house FTL! Bass is overrated, midbass however isn't. I don't know anymore. . . I used to agree with this statement, but I just finished my install, sans sub, and I'm not liking the nothing below 50Hz. And the statement was bass is overrated, think about it everyone has a boner for bass. Midbass however is rarely ever addressed. Of course some of us also listen to music that rarely has bass in the first place.

The average person is actually educated & intelligent.
  17. <-- no longer remembers: budget, space, power, h/u, listening preferences, equipement you already have... Perhaps a summary or a new thread is in order. If you start a new one, link it here.

You could buy 2 or 3 homes, but the disadvantage are of course the Texans. You don't know how spoiled you are up in MN until you leave.

umm try Arkansas and Kansas for starters. I haven't been that many places but those were surely more boring to drive through. Took the Kansas route on the way to Colorado and the New Mexico route on the way back. Much better scenery in New Mexico. East Texas is pretty much driving straight if your on I10, if you drive curvy county roads through the woods it is great. Central and Midwest Texas is the Hill Country, and there's 80 MPH speed limits in West Texas... You have to be going 105 before you get a ticket that won't allow you to take Defensive Driving to waive it. Don't forget North Dakota. oooo, exciting.

bingo ie, compensators. Making up for the lack of structural engineering.
  23. The analogy that is being drawn here is flawed. It is sort of like saying all underhung drivers are identical since the technology is mature and has been around a long time. No matter who builds what, it is VERY easy to alter the drivers response in many different ways. To assume that two things built in the same buildhouse are the same driver is a HUGE misconception. The one thing is for sure the build quality of both the Fi and SSA drivers is outstanding. They aren't some cheap chinese build house crap.

Lord, why does this only seem to happen in Texas & Florida?
