785 isn't going to work so well for that. No bandpass and not much eq.

When I was in HS, we had an Ethiopian guy teach one of my calc classes for half a year...he's run Boston and NYC, placed in the top 10...that guy was crazy. And where you live I've got two friends that just got their CS degrees and are working for Goldman Sachs...great starting pay for sure, but apartments and everything else in NYC don't come cheap...I think the average starting salary for BIT majors from Tech is somewhere around $50k...although I know I won't be making that whenever I finally graduate... I think he placed r3d but hard to tell from the blackberry while driving. Your 50k number is low.

Component Set Recommendations?
You really shouldn't have two drivers playing the same frequency range.

Component Set Recommendations?
Most separates require an offboard processor to cross them over. In your situation it is really what you need.

Component Set Recommendations?
No real 4" components, but definitely some separates.

Crappy Boston Marathon coverage. One of my colleagues/friends is running and I can't find out where he is.

You will get paid more than $40k if you have a job that flies you around. By default it weeds out a lot of candidates.

If you are truly running sealed, we need the airspace you have. In general however, I will add that running sealed with that size driver in a car isn't easy. Also if these are custom, why the 5.25" instead of a 6.5"? Also, why two drivers near the same size? I'd pick either the door or the kick and not both.

Nope. I actually don't really eat out in Minny anymore. When you travel like I do, you look forward to coming home and cooking. Of course, I am a big fan of steak and sushi so....

Ah, well my quick tongue isn't your style. Last time I saw you post was in regard to me not being "super nice".- Problems with BTL setup
Gains should be set with an Oscope if you don't have "tuned ears". Your comments on the w6 hitting "high" notes is really, really amusing. Not at all the intent of that sub. I think you are leaving a TON on the table with your current setup and should review your whole install. Doing things your way instead of the right way isn't going to help- zapco/arc audio eq's
? What sort of mount do you expect? Why do you want one of their eq's?- texas heat taking it course.
near austin. Funny, I fly there regularly.- Crossover points
I assume your bottoming out issues are gone?- Screws vs. Brad Nails
Actually, I can see where it would add some integrity. Biscuits by themselves aren't strong, but they increase the surface area for adhesion. I am not so sure. Being mdf likes to shatter when you cut it I don't think I'd try, in particular when the weak point is the mdf and not the glue anyways. The screws add integrity away from the joint and of course a biscuit would as well, I think the structural integrity you'd give up to get them in would be self defeating. - zapco/arc audio eq's
