I have that same problem, but only with one of my vehicles. Me too. I managed to get nearly 80k out of the truck tires, and in less than 25k have used up 3 sets on the car.
  3. SQ

And raw and uncontrollable sounds good? I would make the correlation with non-controlled bass and a fart cannon.

No worries, no hurry. Just curious so I can go and try them out if I haven't eaten them
  5. *pukes 120hz is WAY too high for subs to play That has to sound like ass. As for what you need, it may be more than your doors can handle depending on how loud you listen.
  6. Do it at home where you can enjoy it...of course for the money you'd have to spend there are tons of options then.
  7. Your ranges make no sense. Scott's make a lot. I can localize 50hz, so therefore anything playing anywhere near it needs to be up front and stereo. Once you are doing that though you might as well take advantage of the cone area and get a driver capable of playing at least up to 150hz, preferably 200-300hz....but of course that would be a midbass, but also the solution to the OP's issue.

Hard to pack a suit in a backpack. I only travel with one of two kinds of bags though. A roller suit bag or a backpack. <-- has at least 8 different packs and one "suitcase"

I might watch it if it were actually stock cars. Hell make the bastards stop at the halfway mark, and give them 15 minutes to set up the car, and run the second half of the race the other direction around the track . How about a figure 8 track with a bridge so no criss-cross-crash.
  14. SQ

LB again you miss the mark. A SQ can easily give you a body massage, make the factory system sound like it sucks-eggs, and be loud. Perhaps not raw, but I am not sure why you want raw. As for the concert reproduction if the sound guy sucks why would you copy him? Do realize that live pretty much 100% of musicians are "trying" to make it sound like a recording (in musical balance). Hell even the god damn Grateful Dead had one hell of an audio measuring setup. They carried more in money in acoustic measuring gear than a lot of bands carry in equipment. Their "wall of sound" utilized nearly $200k worth of acoustic measuring gear and this was nearly 30 years ago...
  15. LB, you really confuse yourself asking me questions like this. I have never had and will never have a need or desire to own a driver that can take more than 3kW. The 110 comment was of course an easy way to get nearly free 60hz power, as stated above you can surely limit the power with a variac. I was just trying to make your life easier.

Basically somethign like a 1v sine wave that I could put a voltage filter on would be teh perfect. Virtually anyways.
  20. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Anyone have a way of making a clipped sine signal in a waveform? Being able to adjust the amount of clipping would be great as I'd like to be able to generate spectral views of the signal based on various amounts of clipping. Preferrably a fully generated waveform and not measured so it is clean. I have played around with Cooledit to no avail.

Laptop hardrives have pretty severe shock specs, they are "meant" to withstand rather large drops.

9/10, not knowing the rules is what has people knocking hockey. I know you played... when you have played, it brings a whole other level of appreciation. BTW, the Wild weren't THAT bad... out shot Colorado badly, more physical than them, but that line with Forsberg is a tough one. If they play the whole series like last night, they will run Colorado into the end boards. I know, but to fight all season for the action to happen at home and then give it away right in game 1 is frustrating.
  24. The solution of what? Maybe you can develop a sentence checker for us lesser newbie's thanks Read the title of your thread...you even say solution Word has a grammar checker, use it.
