I'd do the heads right away, they practically give them away.
  4. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
For the same price as the crate you could do the truck engine and a TKO.
  5. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
that's actually my newest idea LQ9 crate engine is almost half the price of a LS2 carb + MSD's ignition controller only issue is I'm not sure what manual transmissions will bolt up to it Get a used one from a truck for $800. Some L76 heads and run with it. As for tranny are you shifting yourself?

LQ9, bang for the buck it is your choice.

22's look better than 24's anyways. If you don't have enough wheelwell you don't need more wheel.

Since it is two prong try plugging it in the other way. If it won't fit, use a cheater plug and grind down the bigger tab so it can go in the "wrong" way. Sometimes that helsp.
  13. Even still if your budget is X dollars you are ALWAYS better off spending all X on fronts alone instead of fronts and rears. Nothing to do with Nirvana.

I have said time and time again to my now fiance, the fact I would rather love you and fight or disagree, rather than be anywhere else with anyone else is a great sign of the fact you care and respect the other person. right on man. yeah we disagreed on a lot of things while we were on vacation. I mean I'm not saying with fought the ENTIRE time but I'd say 70% of it was arguing. But, I care for her so much that we would eventually make up. I like how you worded that though, pretty much how I feel. No one said it would be easy, it's work and that's what makes it a journey. make up sex ftw

We don't really have sand here though. Well except around the lakes. The MN desert. snowrail That we already have, but they go by a slightly different name but are they LS6 powered? With a power to weight ratio of 3.9lbs to hp who the hell cares? 2 stroke ftw!

it's electric... hell just put the heating element in some kind of massive step up voltage coil. "I don't know what happened Kenmore fix it guy. The oven all of a sudden looked like ST elmo's fire and stopped working" Well crap, it sort of works. The bottom element is the effed though.
  20. Indeed my rears are factory and still in the truck, but they are covered with 3 layers of mat and Ensolite and aren't connected to anything. Having rears does NOT make it louder in particular if it reduces the budget for your fronts. 9 out of 10 people that ride in the back ask me what speakers are back there as well. Installation is the important thing and you never want to have multiple drivers playing the same frequency range on either side of your vehicle as it doesn't do anything helpful but does a lot of harm.

That is the best ever ROFLMAO Obviously I don't want some people to know where I live.
  22. Getting there. You tell someone an answer and they read, you make them think about it and they remember it.
  23. Call it a gift, call it a curse. I remember random crap for YEARS. Useful stuff like people's names...nope. For the classic amp fan here, it is a gift. Have you peaked at the Zuki's? They seem to resemble some parts from classic SoundStreams. The Zuki's are a knock off and nothing special, only their ratings are special.
  24. Agreed, box dependent, but I would say that a pair of 15" Icons in a ported box has the potential to be louder the the L7 12's and most definitely will sound better.
  25. well sure if you want to look stupid and have 2 different brand amps...lol hes already got the kenwood and the one has for the sub is actually a pretty good one..for the money he has that kenwood 4 channel is one a few options..again for the money those alpine components are one of a few that he can afford..and why do 1 set? i hate people who know put speakers in front..need to be dragged and shot..lol I hate uneducated posts about rear speakers. They are useless and ALWAYS a bad idea.
