Agreed, box dependent, but I would say that a pair of 15" Icons in a ported box has the potential to be louder the the L7 12's and most definitely will sound better.

well sure if you want to look stupid and have 2 different brand amps...lol hes already got the kenwood and the one has for the sub is actually a pretty good one..for the money he has that kenwood 4 channel is one a few options..again for the money those alpine components are one of a few that he can afford..and why do 1 set? i hate people who know put speakers in front..need to be dragged and shot..lol I hate uneducated posts about rear speakers. They are useless and ALWAYS a bad idea.

wow. you guys sure are some gloomy gus's. i've been riding on dirt since about 12, street since 19. i've kissed the payment on more then a few occasions, seen a tree up real close and even introduced a scoot to a deer (helmet saved my brain that day). yet i ride. it honestly doesn't matter if you're in a cage or on a scoot, if it's your turn, it's your turn. i've been jsut as close to death, both my fault and not, in a car/truck as i ever have been on two wheels. and yes, i've lost friends who ride. i ride in their honor now, not backing off as that's not what they would want. they loved the wind, as do i, and i won't dishonor their memory but getting rid of the horse. btw, some people my wife knows through work were jsut invovled in a nasty car/motorcycle wreck. and most are in the hospital, but yet even she is still looking forward to the next few weekends as several big rides are coming up. you don't worry or you don't ride. and if i die while riding, it'll be with a smile on my face and my middle finger in the air, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I love your attitude mang!!

Drivers wired to the same impedance?? Multiple people can be wrong. By voltage I mean when you set your gains if you aren't sure what you are doing they should be measured via an oscilloscope which would give you the voltage output of the amp and also confirm that you weren't clipping.

Kenwood amps generally suck. In your price range you should shop used. Big 3 >>>>> cap I don't understand why you have tweeters and 6x9's and no crossovers for them, that won't work making it hard to recommend an amp. You should sell your speakers and get a component set.

At $500 it isn't worth putting a dollar into "accessories"
