I love the cello, played the upright bass but our cellist sucked so I had to learn to read tenor clef. Should have just played the cello, but since I hack on the classical guitar the transition to the bass was way easier.

I'm long past the soda stage. I was on a Gatorade and water trip, then was told that drinking too much Gatorade can mess with your electrolyte balance, so I stopped that and moved onto grape juice and water and the acid in the grape juice was killing me, so now it's pretty much just water with the occasional green tea, which I really don't like, but I need something with flavor every now and then. I drink sparkling water for the "flavor" or um, well texture.

In the spring, site fish them with a big bass jig and a steel leader. When they are really up in the shallows they can get mean. Drop it around 6" in front of their nose as quietly as possible. Only time of the year I have boated more than a half dozen in one day.

My biggest to date is still only 47" though. I have yet to see the damn 50" barrier.

The baits we throw up here will reek havoc on a flipping stick, once you get up into the 8-10oz bait realm you need a heck of a rod. I tried on my flipping stick and was having issues keeping 50lb test in one piece and of course casting with any precision.

I really, really, really despise Honda's in particular the Accord. Damn thing puts you to sleep and when it breaks costs more than a BMW I6 to fix.

Yeah baby , early to mid spring while the smallies are feeding up , then after they spawn topwater is my favorite bait. I have seen 1lb smallies come completely out of the water after 6" zara spooks. Damn bait is almost as big as them, but htey still smack it . I've caught bull gills going after my spooks as well. If it really gets to 'em it doesn't matter how big it is they will swipe at it.

Ever tried fighting a 30 pound four foot long musky , or a 50 lb flat head on light tackle ? You would be begging for a rod that size shortly afterwards I don't think I'd beg to give the Musky that much leverage, 12' is the long. The thickness would be fine as my musky sticks are as robust as pool cues, but the length would be killer.

Carbonated drinks and booze are even harder on your stomach. Pretty much everyone I know on prescription acid reflux meds drinks either Captain and Cokes or Redbull drinks near exclusively. All of them. Is it truly a pattern I don't know, but it is enough to make me believe so.
