Designing a 3 way front stage.
I think you should sell your 8445 and get an active controllable h/u and do a 2 way first. You are really biting off a lot for a first time and most likely without practice you will have better results with just a 2 way. In a 3 way I wouldn't use a 5.25" mid either, sort of defeats the purpose IMO.

You aren't going to get what you expect if you are looking at amps like those.

In terms of sounding "right", I'd say midrange... In particular if your midrange is nearly a full range

Lucky, I have heard some not so happy stories about the Rosewill pieces. And of course, they take the Mboard with them

middle one looks like a winner to me, good reviews to boot. thanks! No troubles. Antec has pretty much always made good stuff. I have some of their supplies and they have always done more than necessary.

For you, maybe. midbass >>>>>> sub bass

Large band EQs
Another thing, if you have a flat input the output power of your amplifiers should be the same at all frequencies unless you have some serious issues with your amplifier. Of course once you put a load on them this will all change, but it is determined by the load impedance and not the output power of the amplifier.

Matt, Cheapest one I'd buy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817371006 Definitely worth the extra dough: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817371002 I am sure this would be fine as well as OCZ never used to screw around, I can't imagine they do today: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817341010 Bunch of other new brands I am not familiar with as well. Fortron used to make a good one, but now that they are FSP I know nothing.

I'm confizziled. For anything above 3.2% you have to go to an actual liquor store to get 6% beer and hard liquor, you can only buy 3.2% donkey piss in grocery stores/gas stations. Is that what you were askign? Damn, ya'll system is fudgeed. We can buy 6%, wine and below at grocery stores/gas stations, and anything above has to go to ABC kind of store. everything up to and including Everclear in our grocery stores *jealous

2.8 v6?? We paid <$16K for the w's 02 A6 with < 30k miles just a bit ago. The 2.8 was discontinued, in Steve's price range it is 3.0, 2.7 (NO), or 4.2. I too vote 3.0

:( 5.25's have no place in a 3 way. Perhaps we should start from scratch and ask what you are trying to do.
