what about snow-driving? not that I've ever driven in snow, just heard it's better for that Only if you drive poorly. Here is the real question on a car with a perfect 50/50 weight balance what do you think will have more snow traction fwd or rwd? Also, what will brake better? Obviously they will be the same, the question then comes down to predictability and such and having a fwd car means understeer which really, really fucks you when things get shitty. If you have one of these dumb front drive cars that are 70% front weight, then sure it will take off better but how about turning and other things? There is a reason that Mercedes and BMW don't and won't build a front drive platform, they refuse to make those compromises. How about the Mercedes A-class ? As you stated you realize that isn't a "Mercedes" and hell they ain't sold here anyways

The only hard part is when the road surface goes from snow to ice to blacktop to ice, other than that controlled drifting is half the fun of winter. <--definitely does it in traffic *will add the last time I crashed doing so was 15 years ago I had a run in with a tree. It was the first time I was ice drifting in a 4wd and I found out the really hard way that counter steering in 4wd and rwd are NOT the same.

need help on how to port...
You can do an external port, that will be your only choice. This might help. This box is .6cuft tuned to 29hz, external dimensions are MORE than 3.5cuft

Shouldn't be a guzzler tax on that car, but definitely used ftw. CA might be the place to look as people who lose their houses also have to sell their cars. There is a large percentage of the population in that state that mortgage the hell out of everything and it is biting them in the arse now.

Welcome to the IHoP
Plus in the snow rwd is fun, oversteering/drifting with no tire consequences ftw. Plus the look on the soccer mom's face in the oncoming lane is priceless as you drive down the street at right angles to traffic.

Welcome to the IHoP
my bad lol and in the case of fwd if he was lookin for a lil extra gas mileage. generally fwd gets u a couple extra miles a gallon False. It is a less efficient drivetrain and the only reason it exists is that it is cheaper for manufacturers to make.

Well at $4.10/gal ~ Canadian gas price now, $1.08 liter total miles 745*52 = 38,740/yr Yearly gas bill $10,515 @ 15mpg $7885 @ 20mpg $6309 @ 25mpg $5257 @ 30mpg Normally I am not a big fan of shopping via gas price, but considering the mileage you are putting on it may make some sense to take it into account as it will even compensate some repairs.

IMO, Fwd is always a bad idea.

Welcome to the IHoP
The 300 is Awd/Rwd not Fwd. I didn't say they weren't quick, just a mess to fix and Fwd.

.5 ohm wiring
You should have probably title this Sundown SAE-1000d .5ohm. IMO if it isn't an SAZ you shouldn't even try...most likely something bad will happen. You should sell your sub and get one with the right coils for your amp.

no SRT? Looked at one today as well and loved it. I don't think I could swing it gas mileage wise. Any opinion on the R/T or 300? I don't know the difference. I assume the R/T has the 5.7 Hemi which has proven itself to be fine, can't say anything about the rest of the car. Yes, the R/T has the 5.7L. With the way I drive I would be able to really utilize the MDS. First tank of gas, though ... would go pretty quick i think ur still goin about this wrong u every check out the maximas? Ever pop the hood on your maxima? Every one I have ever worked on has been a maintenance nightmare. I despise the whole company for that reason, my Q45 was impossible to do anything on and the parts were super expensive. My buddies Maxima's have been the same way. That and they are fwd ftl. Sorry.

brokem in.... now what.
I agree 1000% with Jim. In a daily driver there is no such thing as a required break in period. The only thing you need to do is turn it up slow the first time to make sure your connections are okay and there isn't any other product or installation issue. After that wang away like you always would. The one warning I would say is that if you set your gains by ear you could be overgained once the driver does break in as it will soften up. Either way listening for stress is something you should do all the time anyways.
