it will be a bit extra for me so the single rli8 will likely be coming out for what im undecided but that spg555 is looking nice and oblong or turn down the gains, I had my 1000/1 on the Rli8 for a bit and it was fine.

If you can get a better deal on 2, PM me.
  7. RE's, compared to a JL 12w3 or a Type R, in my opinion did suck. You also have to take into account that I listen to my music loud, and only had about 100 watts going into the RE. I listen to the same songs with every sub, and for example, my Three Six Mafia cd didnt hit as good with the RE's. Am I sure they can get loud in the right box? Sure. Did I personally think they were the greatest subs ever made? Hell no. And yeah, I'm sure they probably CAN sound good in a ported box, but I was using a box that was tuned to the factory specs (Whatever the hell the Qlogic bandpass enclosure is tuned at, the old school one with the plexiglass). Again, they probably sound good tuned, but I personally didn't enjoy them. But then again, its an opinion, and like arsehos, everyone has one. You may think JL's suck, or that MTX is the best brand in the world, and that would be your opinion. I didn't think that anyone here had to praise RE. RE is a great brand, and I'm dying to get a SX. But entry level subs are exactly that. Alex After this last post I think your opinion is worth even less, you broke pretty much every install rule a real installer will use. It can't get much worse than using a shitty crap box and an amp that is severly underpowered. It really wasn't at all a fair comparison, and guess what your favorite happened to be the most efficient and nothing else. Imagine that :(

In the options dropdown (right under the New Topic button near the top or your post) you can select Standard in Display Modes and it should fix your problem.

Keep in mind they have to put a warranty on this beast as well. I don't want to see a forced induction Corvette, I'd much rather see a N/A engine kept. Thats not the point. Its a $100,000 dollar car, if I had that kinda money to spend, warranty would be the least of worries. Im just not impressed. Maybe that's all the power it needs. Who knows. <--pretty much hates GM but your arguments are lame Not a argument by no means. arguments was plural as in your points

Even still a heavy car with a shit ton of power adder juice is just a damn lot of fun.

And I don't mean one of those non-GNX GM things with the 3.8 either. A real supercharged V8 is a helluvalotoffun ohhhhh so it's like that now huh? I could add the qualifier that the smaller engine is okay in a car that is sub 2800lbs. My buddies fiero ripped and it had a lowly 3.1...can't imagine it with a 3.8sc
  14. A real enclosure is simply one that is designed appropriately for the driver.

A friend that I went to HS with has a procharged '00 GT, 400/400 to the wheels, intake/exhaust, 4.10's, Nitto's, and a short throw. Damn fun car. You didn't like it since it was a Ford.

Doesn't make his arguments worth a chit. Of course I will add I like Mopar's less than GM.

Exactly. That's the problem: we don't have the empirical data to know one way or the other. The only reason I object to Global Warming Alarmists (like Gore) is that they have a very vested interest in what they're saying. Gore flies all across the world in his personal luxury airplane and gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to talk about something he is incapable of proving. Expecting him to be even remotely objective is ludicrous. And somehow it's ok because he buys carbon credits...give me a fucking break. Exactly why I thought the whole idea of suing him was hilarious. Not that it would do anything other than force the media to portray it incorrectly but it would amuse me.

  20. Alex all of your subjective comments on drivers are not useful as you never put them in a real enclosure. The box/install is more important than the driver and you ignored it. If you do the same to your XXX it will be a horrible waste of money.
  21. It will depend on your amplifier.
  22. Mark you are so constructive. I like your idea though, that would really rock with a pair of MJ's.

I didn't really agree with the article, but I love the idea of trying to expose some political heresay. Realistically IMO our sample size is way too small to tell at all whether it is getting colder or warmer or not at all. The whole notion of a deg/100 yrs and having a sample size of well less than 200 years is absurd. <--also thoroughly despises Al Gore
  24. well, that last comment kind of stung....i was only doing car amps for the amout of power they put out double with the fact that it is now permanent in a house. 3 years from now, i am getting a ford contour. ('99) Even if they did put out rated watts.. you'd need a hell of a big power supply to power them up. Its more economical to buy a home amp. Not sure that you could buy that power supply with the budget of $500 more or less leave room for anything else. Those amps aren't even good paperweights and you really can't use them at home. I second the retarded comment, you have been told to list what you want to accomplish and your budget. So far after 15 topics we have your budget. If you just do what we ask you will get help otherwise you will get bashed and end up with some crap that doesn't work at all together
  25. sealed or hell no box, just send that crap driver to me
