The only reasons I can think of for Ford to do this would be reduced production costs and less weight. A Ford 5.0 is going to be really hard pressed to match a LS2 or LS3 for output though. With equal displacement why do you think the general can extract more power than Ford?? That seems absurd, in particular since the Ford design will be all new and the LS is now nearly 10 years old.

Said they're only considering it now. Only time will tell. A new monster mod is coming out for sure, perhaps they will do a pushrod engine and it will be a Windsor...but for sure it won't be the 351w of old. They said new.

Personally I would never run multiple front stage drivers playing the same frequency range, I will add that your goals are different from mine but I really don't think mismatching all sorts of things is going to help you. You should probably sell all of your 6 drivers and buy a set that will do what you need it to.

Going to depend on your enclosure more than anything. There is no negative reason to getting the 10, other than it takes more space than the 8.
