Steve, I just bought me an '06 Pontiac G6, Its a damn nice car. The stock system is actually much better than i thought it would be. Pretty quick and gets pretty good gas mileage. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a newer car. Sort of asinine to praise a cars stock system on here, perhaps you should be happy with other things on the car and like it for that since the stock electronics are going in the garage if you come here simply stating i was impressed with the stock system. wasnt praising it as you say. It has been quite some time since i've ran across a decent stock system. oooooo, so we have "pretty quick" and "pretty good gas mileage" from that description I am SURELY going to run right out and buy one. figured if he wanted to know more info about the car he'd do some research, didnt realize i needed to post all the specs of the car You don't. I am not that all impressed with the IDMax, but it is a better driver than the w3. If you do upgrade and switch them out at least do so with something better.

Overall ... he enjoys it? I assume you have either driven it or ridden in it or both ... your thoughts? I do like the interior too. Were the minor problems covered by the warranty? Any idea (roughly) how much he has dropped on those repairs? I enjoyed driving the two that I have. In fact one of my best friends is getting one because of me. You know how happy I am with GM lately, but nonetheless I think this is by far their best car.

You want me to hate on a product and company that hasnt given me a reason to yet, im sorry im just not going to follow that ridiculous notion. BTW i dont think Chris has anything to prove to anyone, get real. Please read the posts before responding. I didn't ask Chris to prove anything about himself, as expected I am sure all of us here have a better feeling for him than anything or anyone eD related in the past as he is actually trying to communicate. The hole in discussions is eD's and he has an opportunity to do something about it. And going after prominent members on a forum for having a dislike of a particular company is aggressive, in particular when there are very logical reasons why this is the case. Also, no one here has ever asked YOU to hate on an eD product. Not even close, you can choose to like what you like when or wherever you like. We haven't asked you to change, but if you post love stories about their gear here expect to get a response that is appropriate from people who have been burned by products sold by eD in the past.

Manual Legacy sedan? Didn't find anything today. Talked to a salesman who is going to look for a used CTS for me. '04 or '05 and he figures they would be priced around $22-$25K. Aren't there any wholesalers around you? You could probably have someone go to an auction for you and get what you need easier than looking in podunk local.

How about power cords ? Power cords are at least analog. I for one haven't really been too concerned about analog noise on my digital cables.
