And it will do it well, better than that pizza oven on craigslist too.

    chokeTOP

Just get an efficient driver. As for the LP, if you don't have a way of doing it actively you could choke it passively.

I don't think I have a copy of it anymore either after my pc died.

No, I didn't as I have sigs turned off.

I don't have any pics of my buddies wives boobs. Come up here and take your own damn pics
  8. psh, the only time you got excited was when Second Skin and Hybrid joined us lol True, but to be fair there are ton's of good subs that can work in an SQ setup, but now how many midbasses are there?? How many good deadening companies? My excitement was and is justified (and even if it wasn't you know I'd still think so )
  9. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
mm, gonna lick me some dog butt
  10. I have not ever much thought about it, the trick for me is always to get enough midbass the sub-bass is teh easy. A single 8" driver can overpower most people's front stages
  11. Thanks for the pm'd apology OP. The real problem here is you are taking words that you have heard and applying them without understanding the meaning. In the case of saying you want SQ it means you want a perfectly flat response that blends perfectly with your front stage (ie your midbass is just as loud as your sub bass). While you could attempt to do this with a BTL or any other sub that is very, very geared for a ported box it in reality won't work; however, I know better from reading posts from others like yourself. You aren't interested in SQ, but asking for SPL scares you since you don't think you want a one note wonder. On the same note, you don't understand how your ears work then either. At really high decibels you are going to experience a lot of sound pressure masking which forces you to not be able to tell the difference between notes so it is a moot point anyways. This phenomena occurs at low levels too. If you want to test for yourself go ahead and make two tracks on a test cd. 1) A 1kHz sine tone at 0dB and 2) A 1kHz since tone at 0dB and at the same time a 1.25kHz sine tone at -5dB -- play them back to back and you won't really hear a difference between either track. Now realize that at high levels this phenomena gets MUCH stronger. Your ears go into protect mode and force you to not hear things. One other thing. By definition again you are flawed. Loud is the opposite of SQ and there is no other way around it. If you want max output that requries a peaky enclosure, if you want SQ you want no peaks. Either way, my previous recommendation was spot on. Buy the BTL, port it, and believe you are enjoying the SQ from it. Until you here a real integrated SQ setup you won't know differently anyways.
  12. It is a passive pre-amp
  13. then go for the 18!!
  14. Not at all what this poster wants. He just wants loud. I would guess that the OP coudn't tell the difference between 40hz and 60hz and will be fine with a one note wonder. Just get the damn BTL's, port them, and continue to pretend they have good SQ and be happy. actually its exactly what i want and yes i do konw the difference between a high note and a low note...but thanks for the checkup i guess... Umm, no. You don't understand the term SQ otherwise you wouldn't be using it in this context. If you think I am wrong perhaps you could explain your magical front stage that is going to blend well with a high powered BTL in a ported box. By SQ you mean, doesn't sound like ass not SQ.
  15. <--not excited

I've never seen someone lay paint down so cleanly, in particular in a garage. You could easily see yourself smile and clearly make out your whole face in it pre-sanding!!

Maybe his wife too and she has a hell of a nice rack.

If it isn't done for Rochester, we can drive by his house. One of my two best friends so I pretty much see him more than anyone else. I imagine he will stay over the night we all party down.

Just ordered a set of 6 piston Wilwoods with the 12.2's from Frank at Prodigy. So new they don't even have a part number yet. At the moment it will be powered by a mildly built Poncho 350, but that is only due to budget. If you saw the underchassis and everything else you'd know where his dough was spent. Frank shipped his rims late last week as well. Have to get those in so we can figure out the lenght to have the rear end cut to. Pics will continue, but don't expect fast progress as there are a hell of a lot of things to do and my dumb ass friend bought his house nearly an hour from me. When things go well, this is what we are rolling down to the power tour in Rochester in What kind of suspension is under it? Hopefully I'll see it in Rochester then Nothing yet, it is all in boxes in my buddies garage. The only real mod to the chassis has been the DSE subframe connectors. There are a set of arms, shocks, springs, bushings, and sway bars at his house. I don't remember what all is going in the rear, but not a four link yet. He is doing things on a rather tight budget as the goal is to get it driving and finish it over the next couple of years. The body work ate up a chunk of his budget and the brakes/suspension just ate his motor budget. Either way I think he is doing it right, first make it handle and stop and then make it go.

What you can't see in the pictures is how straight the body is, when you saw the car when Josh bought it you'd shit. IIRC he paid $1200 for it so you can guess at the shape she was in. New floors, new rear quarters, bottom half of the doors are fresh, new hood, new decklid, and lots of other new metal. Had to get her perfect since she is black.

One other thing, we don't even talk about that craphole here. This site is for useful audio discussions not soap opera bullshit. As for any useful information there? Good luck with that you have to sort through way too much bull to get anywhere.

I thought this one wasn't bisexual so getting her a blond probably won't go over very well; however, I dig the outfit so you can get her one of those.
  24. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
She is on blocks, lowered via DSE parts and will ride on TTII's as early as next week. 12,5" of clearance for rears in the fenders without tubs!
  25. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
antibiotics can't fix that one True, but this helped. Do realize this was sprayed less than 12 hours ago so the clearcoat is still soft and all of the flash speckles are teeny bits of clear that will wet sand right off. Considering it hasn't been sanded yet, I was amazed at how nice she looked. Now you know what got in the way of my day, the painter called and my buddies bird was dressed in paint. Now I get to make interior panels and a custom dash for it
