Welcome to the IHoP
Not very, 400hz is tough even. The Aura 10 or 12 for barely more dough however can play to 1200hz pretty nicely. The ones listed on Madisound for $180ish? That's good to know, out of my price range right now but that's a heck of a driver if it goes up that high Oh, and I figured you'd like this: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...182#post4165182 Idiots shouldn't not drive rice.

Zapco and Hifonics
quality and hifonics can't be used in the same sentence, sorry you had to short change your setup. Personally I'd make sure you sell that thing before the warranty is up.

10 Inch Alum Woofer Good for IB
8ohm is an advantage, not a disadvantage. The SLS is a beast, I'd highly recommend them...it all comes down to the frequency that they need to play to though. The Seas can play much higher, but if you aren't going to have them do that then by all means go for the SLS. The 8 is great, I can't imagine the 10.

I really liked the Fostex FF85 when I heard them, IMO they would pair up a bit nicer than the TB stuff.

new cars are stupid. 30% loss in the first two weeks is an absurd hit to the wallet that I will always let someone else take

Welcome to the IHoP
arbitrary constraints if you ask me: why new? why mileage? isn't really about the $ why 28-40k? You realize that you just outlined a variance of $500/mo to $850/mo at 48mo (and yes anything longer is stupid)

But at least the generic response could be that they were supposed to read it.

Welcome to the IHoP
Those A/D/S amps aren't exactly small. The whole squarish footprint makes them tough to fit places, I still want one though.

For implementation I would direct them to a please read before posting rule, don't force them but tell them they have to go there. Put this topic in the Newbie Sign In section and then if they don't follow we can just tell them they agreed to read this before posting and ignored the rule. It will hopefully save a lot of emotions on our part over questions.

eD 13Av.2 Subwoofer
All the hype you have heard so far, is eD hype. I'd leave it be, ignore the fact that it exists and just get a driver from a real manufacturer that will actually support you in the future. No need to buy anything from Ben.

Active Crossover for home use
Ok, love the recommendations but can't say the same about the hit you are putting on my wallet potentially. Behr - $200 DriveRack 260 $1k Ashly 3.24CL $800 The AC23 will probably do what I need for $450...but will I dislike myself in the future for not spending the extra dough now?

I "need" more than a 2 way

Time For a Change
Sounds like a complete misuse of the word SQ. What you want is SPL (obvious from your posts) so ask for it. If you want 150dB, no problem but the next question is budget. edit: and space, how much can you give up?

Zapco and Hifonics
He never said anything bad about Zapco, but was inferring that the Hifonics isn't really worth looking into.
