- Quick x-over question
If you use an external crossover I would shut the ones on your amps off.- Box Design help.....
Personally I'd prefer a single enclosure, but there is a safety advantage in having them be separate.- Welcome to the IHoP
I have a monster hangover. Monster- Welcome to the IHoP
That is going to be one hell of a long port, I wouldn't call it "easy"- 2006 mini cooper s
Sweet! Are you still at home? Your weather and ours are WAY different.- RL-P15 to 2 RL-P12's?
First step in picking out a sub setup is always knowing your space and available power (or budget if you don't already own your amps). Without knowing your space we really can't help.- Wireless LAN Security
<-- Noob I haven't ever had a wireless connection before as my old house was completely wired, considering this I am not sure of the proper & logical way to secure my wireless network. Amusingly, I can use my neighbors both here and at my old house but considering the price of routers these days wanted to install my own for flexibilty. So, any recommendations or primers on doing this the right way? I figure I am not the only one here not in the know so I thought I start a thread. Any input would be appreciated!- Best all around 12" Sub
I'd second the ICON.- RL-P15 to 2 RL-P12's?
Considering you have one 15, why not add another?- Active 2 way front stage, MLi-65s plus North D25 tweeters
Just saw this now. Considering you have no t/a I'd mount them as close as possible to the mids with the caveat being trying to get them as far away from you as possible (i.e. to minimize path length differences between the tweeters ). I'd focus on the tweeter placement in the doors more than the mid for PLD.- Welcome to the IHoP
Stuff I was going to keep before, but realize that it has value and is in my closet. If I am to buy all new gear (ie w205, blackbird, H701, Hat H8 3 way, Audison) I need to unload what I have and not pretend to keep it for the future. The only monkeywrench will be what I decide to do for the boat.- Welcome to the IHoP
I've never been one to rush an sq build, sure i'm interested. I'll see what kind of deal i can get for you on that Audison 5.1 too. I need to be good, i'm already looking at one of jacobs prototype subs which if I went that route would easily kill my budget just to keep my ears happy. I'm leaning towards hertz speakers or going the active route. I could even go active with the hertz speakers but I would probably go with Image dynamics horns depending on price and a pair of dls or something to that effect 7" mids. If you made me a fair offer I'd take it.- Welcome to the IHoP
Still active capable, I'd be glad to PM you a price but you can't have it for a month or so. Still interested?- Welcome to the IHoP
I wasn't going to clean this much house, but with HAT and 2nd joining...my mind was made up for me- Welcome to the IHoP
Gotta keep the 1500GTi too. Hard to let go of 92 vintage super sub Even if it is just wall art.- Welcome to the IHoP
Methinks the 880 will go in my boat. Going to sell pretty much everything when the car/truck go. Have to start from scratch. Things that will be going for sure: Eclipse 8454 PG zx475ti -- not pristine, but in good shape PG M44 -- physically a little beat, but a darling of an amp JL 1000/1 JL 450/4 -- both black Eclipse PA5532 DX-28 Soundsplinter Rlp A pair of CA18's A pair of LPG 25nfa JCV Arsenal 4v deck of some sort (3 outs, mp3 comp) Pioneer 2v deck (2outs, mp3 comp) Sony minidisc deck (lol) I know I have some other stuff, but time to start from scratch. Pretty much only going to keep the 880 and my RF150 -- just can't sell the amp I've had since 91. I may rethink the amps, but for the boat I really want efficiency and for the new ride I want small amps that are perfect for a 3way. I'd love an Audison 5.1 and some small 2 chn.- Welcome to the IHoP
HAT and 2nd on the same day, super- Welcome to the IHoP
Now to dig them out. In the unpacked room.- Welcome to the IHoP
