Help choosing active front stage
The CA's are great, in particular in the midbass realm, the EX's are great in particular in the midrange realm, the Nextels are pretty much the best of both worlds. I bought the EX's for a steal otherwise I would have the Nextels. As for what to buy, it is really budget dependent my truck is a second vehicle that when I purchased drivers was going to rarely get driven...of course 70k in 2 years isn't exactly rarely driven but at the time of purchase I didn't know I would do that. I haven't changed them as I am hemming and hawing on replacing it and don't have a lot of time. For a first install you should avoid either Excel, they have a nasty breakup mode and aren't easy to eq. The CA's on the other hand are a breeze and require nearly nothing, the Nextel needs a little love but is much, much more forgiving than a hard coned mid.

Why does the RL-P model so strangely?
Play with the enclosure volume and watch the response change, it isn't that it models all that strangely but that the recommended choice from the program is way off. They are usually off anyways as I would always rather pick my response than have it force one down my throat.

Welcome to the IHoP
How you can make dynamics static I don't understand.

2-Way or 3-Way?
Auto t/a and auto eq NEVER works. Stupid marketing gimic, manual is the only way. Of course rears really never work either and should be scrapped.

Your budget boost opens both worlds. If you can swing it the Seas W18NX has outstanding midbass and midrange, for your application it would be my favorite driver but it eats a lot of your budget, before the addition you couldn't do it.

But dynamics is fun!

RE XXX components
If you want Alpine you'd need an H701 and a controller for it.

Hey you AZ bass turds!
Pretty much a chitpile, staying out at the Starr Pass Resort & Spa though which is pretty nice.

what is so great about this deck?
It doesn't do much looking at it, listening to it on the other hand would make me happy.

1000 watts RMS amp
A spade is a spade and should be called out. No one should do business with the prick.

Welcome to the IHoP
Pretty much the sole reason I rarely shop there.

2 Way Front Stage: Mli-65s and North D25 Tweeters
Warning all things labelled "boost" are bad, when you eq cut only don't boost.

1000 watts RMS amp
Reread my post, I wasn't ripping any of their new products as I don't have experience with them; however, I have a few good friends that have been burned by the owner and since he won't own up to fixing their scenario I will stick with my statement that the owner is an arseho and no one should do business with him. It would have been pretty easy to fix in the past, but that was then and my reaction stays.

RE XXX components
I'm with Jim on the XXX, not my cup of tea. I will also add that I think it isn't really so logical to do a passive three way unless you can get all three drivers to have equal PLD's. I'd stick with a 2 way or if going 3 step up and run active.

If you have to pick between midrange clarity and midbass output which way will you lean? Any size constraints?

Signal level
Big difference between a headunit and a small 2 channel amp....pretty simple garbage in garbage out.
