Best is relative and subjective...so far you have done nothing to clear up your desires so things could actually be recommended. There is no "best" sub on the market they are all different and all sound different. If you don't state what your budget, goals, music preferences, install skills, space, power, and so on you will never get an answer that is helpful.

By tightening down evenly I should have been more clear (maybe what you did anyways) but I meant to tighten the screws in an opposite rotating star pattern a little at a time, like torquing down rims on a car.

The XM6 won't do a 3 way front, just a 2 way + sub. If you want a real one look for an XM7 or DX28.
