That is a lot of work for a non-audible difference in output...obviously there are reasons to pursue this, but if it is to hear something different you should save your money.

Umm yeah. Bought an Asus AC3200 wifi router. 2 5Ghz bands 1 2.4Ghz. It improved the lag, but the coverage is just as shitty as the $10 Asus it "replaced". Aaaaargh. Computer gets kicked off if I am more than one room away or even just directly underneath it. I also don't understand the advantage of the tri-band. It basically has 3 access points and won't automatically switch between them so why bother? Think I am going to return it and grab the much cheaper dual band TP Link. My el cheapo TP Link works better than my cheap Asus....
