  1. Yep. If you have 2 drivers that each want 1cuft, build a 2cuft box and put them in it. Pretty straightforward and simple formula.

Punctuation is your friend, until you use it I am not quite sure how to answer your ramblings.
  3. You have an awesome car! Im currently saving for a 95 M3. If I wired it for a 1 ohm load what amp would you recommend? would these be good? http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=16696 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=16338 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=16367 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=17675 Thanks, had an E36 myself as well. I can't say that I am a fan of any of your amp choices. If you are truly that budget limited, please buy something used and not any of those.

You left out a lot of factors most importantly the installation. This is going to be very box specific.

Pretty much depends on you and your goals and actually has nearly nothing to do with the amp. If you want any recommendations that are useful it would be in your interest to fill us in a bit more.

I que all year long, but do prefer when it is nice enough to stand outside.
  7. Now that you have an H701 I would lean a little more towards raw drivers than ones for particular car usage. It is hard to beat the Peerless SLS for 250hz and down and some midbass that can wallop you a bit.
  8. Now fix that ugly thing in the dash that the Japanese call a headunit.
  9. Edit: boo on the Hifonics. Don't buy it and run from it. Note: If you attach a link, listing what the link is for above it will help as many of us aren't so into clicking on links.
  10. Low end = SQ and also equals sealed. Of course I still question your definition of SQ because if that were truly the case you would be describing your front stage and how it will need to blend with it. If you are partially leading us in the right direction a sealed Q would be a great choice.
  11. I will wait to see, but do agree atm it is a box and not a wall. How much airspace do you have in that VJ?

    what's up A?

A curbing would have been in order.

*waits to see pics of Dave's boring beast
  16. I'm with Jim.
  17. To save money perhaps you should wire it to a one ohm load, and with that driver you can surely throw more power at it than 750.

Still the easy way out. He could have surely toughed it out and figured out another way to make a living. While he made a point, he did do it in the easiest way possible for him.

Off for some sushi and then beers.
  20. "better" is relative and subjective. If you were me and spending that much already, I'd get a different headunit that controls one. H701 is your friend.
  21. note: unless of course you treat the gain inappropriately since it is there and wreak havoc on things
  22. I have had 25w on mine and 250w. I did like one better than the other, but it really will depend on your budget and desires. One thing I can tell you for sure is that you will never regret having headroom.
  23. ///M5 replied to JonJT's topic in SoundSplinter
I wouldn't worry about the power. 1000w on that IB will be plenty, it isn't as hungry as many report it to be and mounting it IB will surely bring the normal requirement down significantly. edit: not quite sure I understand the horns and desire to do IB in the same car though. seems a bit contrary to me. what gives?
